Form Stamping
What kind of forms do the student desk stamp.
We can stamp a wide variety of forms, for example:
- Canadian tax forms
- Child Benefit forms
- Job Seekers forms
- Medical Card application form
If the form that you need to be stamped is simply to confirm your attendance/enrollment in UCD, in most cases, you can submit your SISWeb Certificate of Attendance . If your Certificate of Attendance is not sufficient & you still need a form stamped, the best way to submit the form is through the Student Desk Connector .
How to Submit your form for stamping
Submit forms via the student desk connector.
If you'd like to submit a form via email, use our (opens in a new window) connector . When asked “What is the nature of your query?” select " I would like to submit documentation (form stamping, grant letter) " and attach the form that you need us to complete/stamp. Before sending us a form to complete, please ensure that you've filled in all of the sections which require your personal details. For the most efficient processing, send us the form as a pdf or Microsoft Word document rather than as an image.
Submit forms via post
If you'd like to submit a form via post, send the form to Student Desk, Tierney Building, UCD, Belfield, Dublin 4 . Include a note to let us know if you'd like the form posted back to you (make sure to include your current postal address), posted to an alternative address or scanned/emailed back to you.
Submit forms via the Student Desk's drop-box
If you’re unable to make it in to the Student Desk during our opening hours, you can drop your form into the drop-box, located just outside of our front doors. We'll collect forms left in the dropbox the following morning. Include a note specifying if you'd like the form posted back to you (make sure to include your current postal address), posted to an alternative address or scanned/emailed back to you.
Submit forms via a third party
If you'd like a friend or family member to come into the Student Desk to get a form stamped on your behalf, send us an email (through the connector ) giving your permission to do so. In your email, include the full name of the person who will bring in your form & ask this person to bring photo ID with them when they come to the Student Desk. We can't stamp a form unless we receive a student's written permission to do so.

What are your options if you need to request an extension for your assignment
If unforeseen personal circumstances (such as illness, bereavement etc.) make it difficult for you to complete assignments, please fill in the Extenuating Circumstances Application form and attach any relevant supporting documentation. Extenuating Circumstances applications can also be considered retrospectively, i.e., after the submission date has already passed. The introductory page of the Application Form explains the basis for decisions.
Depending on the circumstances, a determination will be reached and communicated to you. Please allow up to 48 hours for a response.
If you submit the extension request on the day the assignment is due, a response will not be immediate, so may be after the deadline. In these cases, if the extension is denied you can still submit after the deadline during the re-submission period and your result will be capped at a pass.
When citing extenuating circumstances, please provide relevant documentation at the point of submitting a request, as applications cannot be updated subsequently. Documentation should be limited to official documents that relate to the provided circumstance e.g. a medical document / doctor’s cert / RIP link / letter from an official body. Personal images/photographs that contain images of the student/family members are not accepted as supporting evidence.
Please note that, since only unforeseen circumstances will be taken into account, holidays and pressure of work are not accepted as extenuating circumstances.
Students are asked not to direct queries regarding Extenuating Circumstances to individual lecturers.

MAgrSc Agricultural Extension and Innovation
Graduate taught (level 9 nfq, credits 90).
The MSc Agricultural Extension and Innovation is a one-year full-time or two-year part-time programme based in UCD and is focused on meeting the needs of those who are interested in developing careers in advisory, consultancy or education services in the public, private or non-governmental sector.
This MSc will equip graduates with the skills and knowledge to understand more about the processes of learning that underpin change and development and to be effective in building the capacity of farmers to adopt new practices and technologies.
A two-year part-time distance learning taught Masters option is also available for those working in the agri-food sector.
Students will develop competencies in: analysis of the context of agricultural change; design and development of appropriate advisory strategies to support agricultural development; how to support adult learning and behaviour change and research and analytical skills to identify and support worthwhile innovations.
The programme emphasises and values group work, problem solving and creative thinking and encourages students to be active, self-directed and reflective learners. Assignments are based on real life case studies that are complex and unpredictable, reflecting the norms of practice in advisory and education services.
Placement Opportunity
Students on the full time programme have the opportunity to take an industry placement as part of their minor thesis. Students have taken placements with Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) in the UK, Microsoft and many other companies and institutions who support farmer advice and behaviour change.
The programme also provides opportunities for Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for graduates who are already working in areas of knowledge transfer with farmers.

Across the globe there is increasing awareness of the critical contribution of knowledge transfer processes to sustainable and competitive agricultural development and graduates with competencies in agricultural extension are highly sought after.
Career opportunities for graduates of this programme are excellent and include advisory services, agricultural sales, agricultural media, agri-tech companies, consultancy and education delivery in the public, private or non-governmental sector.

The Programme is primarily focused on meeting the needs of Agricultural Science graduates who are interested in careers in advisory, consultancy or education services in the public, private or non-governmental sector. This programme will suit you if you are interested in supporting farmers in agricultural innovation and development and are interested in understanding more about the processes of learning that underpin change and development. The programme is suitable for individuals interested in careers in agricultural extension and education in the public, private or non-governmental sector.
Vision and Values Statement
The Masters in Agricultural Extension and Innovation (available both part and full time) aims to build competencies in agricultural advisory and educational services and systems that can support and enable learning and behaviour change at farm level, so that farm households can innovate and build sustainable livelihoods in a context of changing agricultural policy and market forces. The programme prepares Agricultural Science graduates for future roles in advisory services, technical consultancy and education delivery as well as providing opportunities for Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for agricultural science and other graduates who are already working in areas of knowledge transfer with farmers. The programme equips graduates with the skills and knowledge to develop and deliver appropriate agricultural advisory and educational programmes that serve the needs of farmers and farm families who are their clients. Fees, Funding and Scholarships

Entry Requirements
- Applicants must hold the equivalent of a minimum Lower Second Class Honours Degree (NFQ Level 8), or international equivalent, in a range of academic qualifications including Agricultural Science, Life Science and Business Degree programmes from a recognised higher education institution.
- Applications are welcome from people with work experience in government and non-governmental organisations that provide rural extension services in agriculture, environmental and community development.
- Applicants whose first language is not English must also demonstrate English language proficiency of IELTS 6.5 (no band less than 6.0 in each element), or equivalent.
