But to do that, you’ll need to go on a hunt and find certain people. And, you’ll need to drop certain lines to advance. So, what are the answers to the “It’s a Cole World” quest? Let’s go over what you need to know. Here’s what you need to know about all of the rap lines answers for PhD Monk and Bas that you need to know for the Cole World quest.

Rap Battle with Lil’ Mettle answers

The first few raps in the quest do not have a specific set of correct answers, but this one does. Once you get to the rap battle at Rita’s, you will come across rapper Lil’ Mettle.

In NBA 2K23 there is a ton of off-court stuff for players to do. These off-court activities range in type, but features things like fashion and music. The music questline features a number of rap battles players must complete to advance through. While this may sound easy enough, it is actually quite a pain to complete. To help you do it all successfully here’s a complete NBA 2K23 Rap Verses answers guide.

Rappers Hang Out Rap Battle Correct Selections (Battle #1)

The first of the rap battles you take part in during the It’s a Cole World begins when you have the quest objective “Head to the spot on the map where rappers hang out.” When you get this objective go to the marker on your map and battle the rappers there. Select the following choices to win the battle:

• I got lockdown defense so don’t try to get mental.
• Check ya I’m with the extras, I’m eurostepping and flexing.
• I’ll break your ankles and probably fix that wart in your foot.
• You don’t have a lift pass you not supposed to ski here.
• End your career, throw a party on your own dime.
• I heard you’re sleeping on me with your stuffed toy Piggie Smalls?

Talk to whoever you can find about PhD Monk Rap Battle Correct Selections (Battle #2)

The next rap battle occurs when you are searching for PHD Monk. Make your way to Rita’s and speak to the only person in the club you can talk to. This triggers another spontaneous rap battle where you need to properly select the correct answers. They are as follows:

• You are not the type that these other playas are idolize.
• And if you’re hoopin, you’re doo doo I’m poop scoopin’.
• Hope it doesn’t rain, since I caved the roof in.

Bring the sounds you recorded back to PhD Monk Correct Selections (Song #1)

Once you’ve found out about PhD Monk you will need to play some basketball and collect sounds for him. Following the game to 21 head to the recording studio and give him the sounds. You then record your first rap song. This rap song requires that you select the following answers to advance the story:

The final song you record occurs towards the end of the It’s a Cole World questline. You will need to meet a person named Bas at Dreamville to record. Go there and start the objective. During the objective you again need to make proper selections for the song. They are as follows:

• It’s the playoffs, play y’all? Y’all beginners.
• My arm in the rim look at shorty below.
• Like Dr. J’s afro you getting blowed out.

If you fail to input the correct selections from the lists above you will have to redo the battle or recording. The game will eliminate the wrong selection you made and will leave the rest. A large portion of your gameplay in NBA 2K23 is spent off the court, and the “It’s a Cole World” quest requires you to answer music trivia questions and win rap battles to gain the support of J. Cole and the music district of The City. There have been similar quests to this in previous NBA 2K games, so you should already know what to expect if you’re a 2K veteran. The answers are different this year though, so here’s a full list of all the answers to the music trivia questions and rap battles for the It’s a Cole World quest in NBA 2K23.

All NBA 2K23 It’s a Cole World Music Trivia Answers

The first step of the quest is to speak to Marvin Castleberry at Erick’s Vinyl about PhD Monk. He’ll give you three music trivia questions and you have to answer all three of them correctly to progress through the quest. Here are all three answers.

• They reminisce over you.

If you mess up on one of the questions, you can redo the trivia challenge from the beginning. Once you correctly answer Marvin’s questions, you can move on to the next portion of the quest.

There’s a group of rappers hanging out just down the street from Erick’s Vinyl. Head over there either on foot or via skateboard to participate in a rap battle. These are the correct verses that you must select to win.

Head to Dreamer Court to Record Sounds for PhD Monk

Next up, you need to head to Dreamer Court. Here, you’ll find yourself in a 3v3 pickup game alongside J. Cole. To win, you have to reach a score of 21 before the opposing team. You have to win to progress, but you can restart as many times as you need if you lose.

This isn’t the end of the It’s a Cole World quest, but there aren’t any wrong answers for the last few parts of it. Go promote your song on 98.9 The Flex and speak to any NPCs that the game tells you to. You may have to play a few NBA games in between quest objectives. This is the first major step in this quest that doesn't include a series of answers, but it's still plenty challenging.

Upon arrival at Dreamer Court, you'll find yourself suddenly in a 3v3 pickup game with J. Cole on your team.

You need to reach 21 first and secure the win in order to proceed, and a loss will not allow you to continue.

The good thing is that you'll earn XP and VC and other rewards regardless of whether you win or lose, so no attempt will be without gain.

Finishing this quest is required to knock out other core quests like The Classic which have " Win the Music District " as one of the core objectives.

• +60,000 MVP Points

You'll be able to access the DJ Station after the "Stop by Dreamville to talk to Bas" objective at any time by going to Dreamville Studio, which is located across from the Tattoo Shop by the Beasts of the East Affiliation entrance.

NBA 2K23's MyCareer mode allows you to create your own player, compete in events, and take on quests and challenges from NPCs around The City. A new quest features rap icon J Cole and tasks you to travel around The City and complete multiple challenges. Here is how to complete It's a Cole World quest in NBA 2K23.

To start the quest you will have to complete the early "Welcome to the League" quest and play a few NBA games. Once you complete the early steps of your NBA career, you can explore The City to find new challenges. To start the Cole World quest, go to Erick's Vinyl Shop.

Erick's Vinyl Shop Music Trivia in NBA 2K23

The first stop in the quest is to go to the Vinyl Shop and talk to Marvin Castleberry. You will then have to complete a three-question music trivia. Here are the answers:

After leaving the Vinyl Shop, check out your map, and the rappers will be hanging out right down the street from the Vinyl Shop. Once you get to them, you can compete in a rap battle. However, you need to say the correct verses to continue the quest. Here are the correct verses in the rap battle:

After your second rap battle, you can play a 3 vs. 3 game with J Cole at his Dreamer Court. The Dreamer Court can be found in an alleyway east of the Beasts' area. The game is to 21 and can be repeated as many times as necessary to win. You will still get VC and XP for playing each time, but you will need to win to progress through the questline.

After the game, you will have to compete in yet another rap battle. This rap battle has 12 lines that you must complete, so it will be long. Here are the verses you must say to progress further into the It's a Cole World quest:

It's a Cole World Quest rewards in NBA 2K23

After your last rap battle, you will have to go promote your new song at 98.9 The Flex. You will then have to talk to a few NPCs and play a few NBA games to complete the quest. The questions from NPCs do not have the right answers and will only affect your MyPlayer Leadership Skills. Once you complete every objective, you will meet your team in the plaza and get your rewards.

Completing the It's a Cole World quest rewards you will the DJ Station, +50 music, new arena sounds, and 60,000 MVP points .

The quest featuring J Cole may be pretty challenging, but it offers a lot of rewards, and seeing J Cole in-game can be very cool. The rap star has been featured on the front cover of the  NBA 2K23 Dreamer Edition , a rare GameStop exclusive.
