Notification

Vels University offers various UG, PG, and Research programs in the field of Engineering, Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, Coastal and Ocean Engineering, Animation, Film and Television Production, etc. In addition to this, the university also offers Diploma courses in different specializations.

For admission to the UG and PG course at Vels University, candidates are required to appear for the VELS entrance examination ( VEE ) and participate in the counseling sessions for final seat allotments.

Vels University BE & B.Tech Admission 2024

For admissions into both B.E. and B.Tech courses, the applicant must clear the entrance test VEE, which is conducted on an all-India level. The selection of candidates to the professional courses will be made on the basis of merit i.e. marks scored in the qualifying examination and the aforementioned entrance test. For programs like Maritime Studies, one should also pass a Medical Test to be eligible to be applied.

Vels University UG Admission 2024: B.Sc, BA, B.Pharm, BPT, B.Sc, BCA, BCA Hons, BBA 

The university’s UG program is as diverse and distinctive as its professional courses. But admission into Vels University UG program is much simpler than its professional courses.

Each UG course has a plethora of eligibility criteria to be fulfilled. An eligible candidate will be called in for a personal interview, conducted by an appointed Committee of the University. And admission to these courses will be based on merit and personal interview.

VELS University MBA & MCA Admission 2024

Vels University MBA and MCA program require the candidates to not only fulfill the eligibility criteria but to also clear the Vels Entrance Test – VEE.

Admission to these courses will be based on merit and marks scored by the candidates in the entrance test as well as the qualifying examination. Once qualified, the applicants will be called for a personal interview. This interview along with the score will determine the admission status of the aspirant. The candidates will first have to participate in a group discussion, after which they will have their personal interview.

VELS University M.E & M.Tech Admission 2024

The M.E. and M.Tech admissions are quite similar to the other professional course admissions. Aspirants will have to clear the VEE test in order to be qualified for admission. The candidate should also fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria to appear for the entrance test. Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit and personal interview, conducted by the university.

VELS University PG Admission 2024

Vels University PG program has a wide variety of courses. The mentioned professional courses like M.E., M.Tech, and MCA do belong in this category. The common eligibility criteria for PG courses involve a Bachelor’s Degree, most often in the same field.

Admissions to PG programs need the candidates to have the approved eligibility and to have the minimum score in their qualifying examination. Selection will be based on merit and these provisionally selected candidates will then be called for an interview.

VELS University Diploma Admission 2024

VELS University also provides admission to students in Diploma courses under 11 specializations. The eligibility for the course is a pass in 10 th  class. 

Admission to Diploma is based on merit in the qualifying exam.

VELS University M.Phil & Ph.D. Admission 2024

For M.Phil admission, the candidate must clear a common entrance test, followed by an interview with regard to their research interest or area. The candidate will be selected based on the score from both the entrance and interview.

For Ph.D. admission, the candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria, and clear the common entrance test and the viva-voce conducted by the university. Based on their performance in these they will be selected. At the time of admission, the selected candidates should pay the research and admission fee without fail.

Application Process:

• Application forms can be received from the University office 
• Application forms can be obtained through the post in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘ The   Registrar, Vels University payable at Chennai.
• The filled-in application form along with all the enclosures mentioned in the form must be submitted to the university either in person or by post.  

Selection Process

• The provisionally selected candidates (either through the entrance test or through the marks of the qualifying examination) will be called in for a personal interview by the university.
• The admission of any candidate who fails to appear for the interview will automatically be canceled.
• Admission into the various courses will be based on merit and personal interview.
• Once admitted into the course, the candidates and their parents will have to follow certain procedures - sign declarations, pay the fees, and submit all the necessary documents/certificates, after meeting their concerned Head of Department.
• The original documents submitted at the time of admission will only be returned at the time of graduation, so make sure to take plenty of copies of those documents.
• It should also be noted that the fees paid will not be refunded at any point.
• If anyone decides to discontinue after admission, the student is liable to pay the fee for the entire course.
• Any candidates with a qualifying examination other than the HSE conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu should then obtain an Eligibility certificate from the Vels University by remitting the prearranged fee along with the application form.

VELS University Application Process 2024

• If applying online, fill in all the necessary details, attach documents and pay the fees through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.
• Or you can download the application and send the duly filled-in form with a DD for INR 1000/- or INR 500/- (depending on the course) favoring ‘ Registrar, Vels University .
• The duly filled-in application form, registration fee along with enclosures mentioned in the application form should be sent as a Registered Post to the University.
• International students need to attach the extra documents required of them.

• The faculty members are very excellent in teaching and they provide a virtual learning environment in effective manner

• The college timing of 9:30am to 3.00pm. They said that the college timing will be only half a day while I'm joining to this ...but then they changed the timing as 3.00pm

• Campus size is only 30 acres and not too much big

There is one scholarship entrance exam for Vels University named VSAT. This will help students to pursue their higher studies with scholarships upto 75 percent. Otherwise, there is no entrance exam for admission.

VELS SCHOOL OF PHYSIOTHERAPY, THAZHAMBUR

• Student friendly facilities and supportive HOD
• This campus is located at thazhambur which is quite interior
• The canteen was awfull i suffered alot by that canteen, price was but okay but not for the product quality
• As our physiotherapy department is in thazhambur clubbed with only dental and nursing students, we are free buses are available

Eligibility - 12th pass with PCMB or PCB with >75% score you can directly visit the Vels University, pallavaram campus get the application and interact with the faculty they will let you know everything about the course and fee structures. Dates before june end Exams - CAT exams are quite easy and not so hard and it carry only 50 marks the syllabus of the first 2 chapters of the running subject timing will be morning from 9 to 10.30 am same time applies for CAT 2 in another 20 days with the syllabus of next 2 chapters Model exams are occur with the full portion in a month from CAT2 timing 9 am to 12pm

It's overall a good college with nice environment

• They support sports and extra curricular activities
• They conduct cultural events often to make college life stress free
• They don't have proper parking facility which makes chaos daily
• The campus does not allows you to roam freely

The admission process is very easy, they'll ask few questions like an interview to check our interest and then get through the admission process. It all takes half day for admission. The facilities there will assist you to get the admission done

• Not conducting industrial visit for some batch of dipartment

The admission process was very easy. But in vels their is no government reservation. Ther is a exam conducted by the management. The students pass in that specific exam the provid fee discount. The admission is also can throw online

• my friends report hostel and food is bad
• more college internships are expected for students

the eligibility is to have a computer science subject in your 12th or high school or equivalent pure science with maths is also accepted application forms can be found in the college website and other details too details of reservation can be checked with their help desk number in the website usually exams happens around 9.30 am to 12.30 pm difficulty level is normal many students from different backgrounds join the course unknowingly so i suggest to check the students capability

Vels A turning point

• The teachers because they very friendly some teachers are different but most of them are very friendly, for being a North Indian studying in South India its bit difficult understand there language but because of the friendly nature it does not bother
• Still there is formal dress code like u can't wear jeans or tshirt only formal or cotton pants.

There is no entrance exam for admission, anyone can take admission directly but there is one entrance they are conducting just for the scholarship. The admission process is very smooth just pay the fee submit the documents welcome you are a student of vels congratulations

We have to give all india entrance test known as IMUCET for that you should have PCM percentage more than 65% and English 70% IMUCET is conducted once in a year in May Then the addmission start for August batch and February batch Private colleges have their own entrance test also
