• Submission of Hard Copies of Dissertation books are not accepted in the University

“Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka a premier Health Science University in India was established on 1st June 1996 at Bangalore by the Govt. of Karnataka through its enactment of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka Act 1994 to encompass all the existing health science colleges and institutions which were earlier affiliated to the conventional universities in Karnataka with a purpose of ensuring proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training and research in modern and Indians systems of medicine.”

The phenomenal increase in the number of institutions and students admitted to various courses of medical and allied health sciences warranted the need to regulate, monitor and standardize the curricula as well as the evaluation systems. The product of medical and health science professional education was to meet the societal needs for better healthcare. Hence, RGUHS had the vision to bring in uniformity in the standards of teaching and have a common curriculum for the various courses offered in different colleges across Karnataka.

The RGUHS Journal of Nursing Sciences (RJNS) is the official publication of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The journal considers for publication original articles (research) dealing with different fields such as Medical-Surgical, Mental Health, Community Health, Maternal and Child Health Nursing, as well as Nursing Education and Administration; case reports related to any of these fields; review articles and columns (short communications pertaining to any discipline in nursing practice, education and administration).

Only papers that are likely to make a significant contribution to the existing state of knowledge in nursing practice, education and administration will be published.

With profound pleasure, we release the upcoming issue of RGUHS Journal of Nursing Sciences.

RGUHS Journal is a showcase of ingenuity, innovation and constructive research of faculty and students of this university. Journal publication is expected to benefit the university in many ways it brings scholarly recognition and credibility to the university, it would also contribute for the career development of faculty and researchers. Nursing Graduate Ruth Tretter receives National PhD Dissertation Award from AACN

Dr.  Mary Nies's Ph.D. student, Ruth Tretter received the 2023 American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Excellence in Advancing Nursing Science award recognizing an outstanding PhD dissertation from a student in a Ph.D. in nursing program at AACN member schools at the January 2024 AACN conference.
