The view outside my house is a mixture of colors and beautiful scenery. First to catch people’s attention is our front yard, which features a spacious garden filled with numerous plant types such as orchids and roses. Having been professionally landscaped, it is one of the most attractive features of my home.

A quick inspection of the kitchen will show you a simple silver oven, microwave, cupboards, wooden drawers, kitchen sink, and a large refrigerator with drawings from my kids put in place by magnets.

Heading over to the dining area, a circular dining table with pink and blue chairs are thoughtfully styled to mirror the family’s love for mealtimes. Utensils and plates are shining white and glistening in the ray of the sun peeking through the open windows.

Bedrooms Are Our Sanctuaries

People would be surprised to discover that there are a couple of rooms inside my house that are not aligned with the classical theme enveloping the rest of the house.

My master bedroom is filled with collectible toys and items, housed in silver glass shelves and cabinets for people to appreciate. There is also a 32-inch flat television screen attached to the wall opposite the king-sized bed. I watch TV here nightly and make sure to save all of my favorite shows.

Posters of movies and cartoon characters from Hollywood films and stories are hoisted on the walls with glass frames, creating a gallery effect. The closet and cabinet for clothes and paraphernalia are all painted in glossy white and blue.  There’s also a shelf for designer shoes, slippers, and sandals that have been collected over the years.

The other two rooms found in the hallway going to the living room are the laundry and storage areas, featuring boxes of valuable or sentimental items collected in the past years.

From this experience, I have realized that a home is a place where the best memories are made. Therefore it is important to showcase these memories, whether childhood memories or recent special moments with loved ones.

The Scary House As I stood, gazing at the dilapidated house. I shivered, as though, ice had replaced my spine. The cold air enveloped the entire body. The multiple layer of clothing could not protect against the deathly cold. The walkway leading up to house were cracked. Weeds and dandelions poked out from these cracks. Red roses grown wildly in thick batches by the gate. The moonlight cast a ghoulish glow on the house. Vines formed a twisted maze upon the side of house, reaching their tentacles towards the roof. The house's walls showed black decay by neglect. Splotches of original paint hinted at the house former prosperity. Cobwebs covered the corners of the doors, tiny black spiders threading towards their prey. The house is fit for the kings and queens of the supernatural. The door begrudgingly creaked open. First Frunze, now Dzerzhinsky.

The old Leninist Guard has lost another of its finest leaders and fighters. The Party has sustained another irreparable loss.

Standing now at Comrade Dzerzhinsky’s bier and looking back at his whole life’s path—prison, penal servitude and exile, the Extraordinary Commission for Combating Counter-Revolution, the restoration of the ruined transport system, the building of our young socialist industry—one feels that the characteristic of his seething life was a FIERY ARDOUR .

The October Revolution allotted him in an exacting post, that of head of the Extraordinary Commission for Combating Counter-Revolution. No name was more hated by the bourgeoisie than that of Dzerzhinsky, who repelled the blows of the enemies of the proletarian revolution with a hand of steel. “The terror of the bourgeoisie” was the name given in those days to Comrade Felix Dzerzhinsky.

When the “period of peace” began, Comrade Dzerzhinsky continued his seething activities. He applied his burning energy to putting in order the dislocated transport system, and then, as Chairman of the Supreme Council of National Economy, he worked with equal ardour to build up our industry. Never resting, never shunning the roughest work, gallantly contending with difficulties and overcoming them, and dedicating all his strength and energy to the task entrusted to him by the Party, he burnt out his life, working in the interests of the proletariat, and for the victory of communism.

Farewell, hero of October! Farewell, loyal son of the Party!

Farewell, builder of the unity and might of our Party!
