Advantages of Going Green

You’ve probably heard the phrase ‘going green’ as it relates to saving the environment. But why go green? What are the advantages of going green, what does it even look like, and how can you actually do it?

Going green is a term for finding a way to live your life in an environmentally-friendly way and altering your behaviors and spending habits in such a way to help preserve the planet and limit your personal impact upon it.

This could be in the form of developing simple eco-conscious habits, such as recycling or composting , or it could involve more dramatic changes like completely revamping your energy-consumption habits.

There are many ways of going green – and we’re going to explore these and discuss their various advantages.

Looking for more information about sustainable living? These best books on green living will tell you everything you need to know.

What does going green mean?

As we’ve already touched upon, going green means embracing a way of life that helps preserve the environment by reducing, reusing, and recycling items. It can also involve us moderating our own behaviors to have a smaller impact on the environment.

Adopting a ‘greener’ way of living means adopting an environmentally-mindful lifestyle that contributes to protecting the environment. This means the preservation and conservation of natural resources , habitats, and biodiversity.

Explained very basically, going green means adjusting your life to find a balance between living your life, and having as little of a negative impact on the environment as you possibly can.

The aim of going green is to:

  • Reduce pollution – it’s no secret that pollution is incredibly bad, not just for the environment, but also for human health , so reducing pollution should be top of the list for any eco-conscious person.
  • Reduce resources consumption – many of our resources on earth are finite, so reducing consumption and eliminating waste is also important.
  • Conserve natural resources and forests – forests absorb greenhouse gases, help to stabilize the climate and are key to helping tackle climate change.
  • Promote eco-friendly living and personal responsibility – going green isn’t just about saving the environment, it’s also about learning to live with less, recycle more, and foster a caring attitude toward the planet we all share.

What are the advantages of going green?

Going green has numerous benefits at home, in the workplace, and to the economy at large. Brands and businesses have made shifts toward greener practices – from eliminating the use of plastics in certain products and packaging to growing organic foods.

plastic free food storage containers

The advantages are numerous, and while it might seem like common sense – it’s worth highlighting the many changes that regular people can make right now for a greener way of living.

Some of the environment-friendly practices that we can embrace include:

  • Reduce energy costs and consumption through the use of renewable energy alternatives (like wind, solar, hydroelectric, and geothermal energy)
  • Opt for quality appliances with low energy consumption
  • Purchase eco-friendly household items
  • Recycle biodegradable products and create DIY items
  • Eat green, sustainably farmed, and ethically produced organic foods
  • Choose a greener mode of transportation (like carpooling)
  • Use green cleaning and skin products
  • Use recycled materials when building or renovating a house
  • When purchasing a new home consider a greener option, such as a prefabricated house

Three advantages to going green

The advantages of going green can fall into three major categories:  economic, health, and environmental benefits.

Let’s dive into these major categories and how you can do your part in going green.

Economic benefits of going green

A significant economic benefit of going green is that it helps lower costs and save money. The use of renewable energy helps reduce energy consumption, which in turn helps save money spent on electricity bills (which is a benefit to the individual).

Going green at home helps reduce water and power bills significantly. Avoid under-filling the ashing machine, add water-saving appliances in showers and washrooms, and opt for low-flush toilets if you can – it all adds up!

earthship home

Recycling is another way to go green – this can mean recycling your household items – like bedding and pillows , appliances, and even carpet – but it also means opting to buy recycled products where possible.

Buying recycled products can be cheaper, and it obviously helps save on production costs (since it would have been more costly to use virgin raw materials). Waste reduction also helps save the costs associated with waste disposal.

Another advantage of going green is that one can receive discounts and incentives for green living , for instance, some states offer incentives to those that opt to live in green homes. Green homes create ways to consume less energy, which helps reduce utility and maintenance costs.

Health benefits of going green

Going green has collective benefits for our health. It reduces dependency on fossil fuels and other depleting resources. Organic farming boosts the economy and means that we can eat local, organic, and seasonal produce which is much better for our health.

brussel sprouts microgreens

Going green by reducing or eliminating air pollutants obviously increases the quality of the air we breathe. Just like an adage goes, “prevention is better than cure,” – reducing pollutants is cheaper than trying to clear pollution from the environment if we allow it to spread.

According to a report by the World Health Organisation (WHO), air pollution causes around 2 million premature deaths every year globally.

It’s therefore essential to strive for green living!

Environmental benefits of going green

In addition to the health and economic benefits already mentioned, going green has numerous environmental benefits. Going green through organic farming leads to responsible farming practices and land use.

The cumulative effects of going green, as outlined in this article, can ultimately lead to less deforestation – which is crucial for the environment. Embracing paperless practices at home or in the workplace, for example, means there is less demand for paper, so fewer trees are cut down, and it just might mean that the rainforests have a fighting chance!

a view of Amazon rainforest with parts of deforestation

The environmental benefits of going green are almost too obvious to list here – it’s no secret that the cumulative effects of being kinder to the environment will help to preserve and protect the earth, and all those who live here.

Going green is only the way to go

It is essential to practice green living. There are many advantages of going green and, not to sound too dramatic, but if humans don’t clean up their act soon then we’ll be in serious trouble. All the things we take for granted like clean air, drinking water, and food, will no longer be available to us. It is crucial for us to improve human-environmental interaction .

When we strive for green living, then we significantly reduce the impact human beings have on the environment. All of these small changes really add up to a significant result, so the next time you buy single-use plastics, or under-fill your washing machine, spare a thought for the planet we all live on. And next time you get the opportunity, be sure to keep sustainability in mind and make a conscious effort to go green.

essay on go green to breathe clean

Go Green to Breathe Clean

A few decades ago, the air was free from pollution and contaminants and was much cleaner than it is today. Undoubtedly, air pollution is one of the most pressing environmental issues that the world has to face today. The presence of hazardous and toxic chemicals and gasses in the air is referred to as air pollution.

Volcanic eruptions and forest fires were the earliest forms of air pollution that we are aware of. But with the Industrial Revolution, it became a lot more prevalent. The pace of air pollution is worrying, and as a result, it negatively impacts people’s quality of life.

Emissions from automobiles, burning plastic, smoke from fires, volcanoes, industries, and mining are significant sources of air pollution. The use of refrigerators and coolers, which emit hydrofluorocarbons into the environment, is another source of air pollution.

Climate changes and weather variations occur as a result of global warming due to these air pollutants, which harms the ecosystem. Most life forms are threatened by the irrevocable harm that air pollution does to the environment. The industrial revolution and technological advancements have been the main causes of air pollution. Additionally, the number of vehicles burning fossil fuels has grown dramatically over the past several decades, which has increased the amount of air pollutants. As a result, the quality of the air we breathe has been deteriorating over time. People’s health is adversely affected by air pollution in several ways. Numerous skin and respiratory conditions affect humans as a result of it. Many illnesses, including bronchitis and asthma, are brought on by air pollution.

Air quality has improved globally as a result of the recent coronavirus outbreak. Lockdowns have caused factories and roadways to close, lowering pollution. The Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) reports that during the pandemic-induced lockdown period, air pollution in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru fell by an astounding 45–88%. With more cars on the road following the relaxation of lockdown, air pollution levels have started skyrocketing once again.

Rapid population growth is a significant contributor to air pollution. A lot of air pollution and heavy haze have recently been present in Delhi. Air quality has been significantly degraded as a result of the rising levels of air pollution, which have had major implications. Stubble burning has long been a significant source of air pollution in northern India, despite several attempts to halt it. After grains like rice, wheat, and other crops have been harvested, the straw stubble is purposely set ablaze. Stubble burning has been contributing to a lot of air pollution in Delhi. Pollution levels in Delhi increased during Diwali by almost 100% compared to the days before.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that at least nine out of ten people worldwide reside in areas with unhealthy air.

Despite the fact that air pollution has reached a dangerous threshold, there are still ways to reduce the amount of air pollutants in the atmosphere.

Here are a few strategies for lowering air pollution.

  • By growing a larger population of trees, which clean and filter the air, we may increase the quality of the air we breathe.
  • The government should implement strict regulations for industries regarding emission standards. As a result, we can reduce the pollutants that manufacturers produce.
  • We must adopt the use of green fuels like biogas, compressed natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and other eco-friendly fuels. Consequently, we may cut back on the hazardous poisonous gasses.
  • Our transportation demands are responsible for 30% of all carbon dioxide gas emissions. Instead of driving our own cars or other vehicles, we can use public transportation.
  • Driving with zero emissions is possible with electric vehicles. Compared to purchasing liquid gasoline for your travel needs, charging an electric car is less expensive.
  • Due to its sustainability, solar energy plays a crucial role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Whenever you have the option and access, buy recyclable things. Utilizing existing resources lessens the need to create new trash. Burning plastic releases a number of hazardous gasses, endangering the atmosphere and posing a major health risk to anyone inhaling them. Reusing products, like water bottles, helps cut down on air pollution brought on by burning waste at landfills.

Through their leaves, trees are able to purify the air and absorb hazardous airborne particles, gaseous pollutants, and toxins including ammonia, nitrogen oxides, and sulfur dioxide. This leads to a healthier and cleaner environment with improved air quality. Additionally, trees absorb the dangerous carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. A mature tree may take up around 48 pounds of CO2 annually. In turn, the tree releases enough oxygen to support two people.

It is our duty to keep this environment tidy and clean. We may achieve this by taking good care of our environment and abstaining from actions that contribute to air pollution. Increase your tree planting efforts and drive less frequently. Cut back on the usage of plastic items and the amount of toxic gas emitted into the environment.

Let’s take an oath to make planet Earth a cleaner, greener and a better place to live!

Go Green Essay

Go Green Essay 300 Words

Environmental issues and ecological imbalance in nature has resulted in the devastation of various natural resources that has ultimately posed risk to mankind and nature. Our planet earth is suffering from numerous problems like pollution, deforestation, global warming, climatic changes and much more. Therefore, it is crucial to devise some solutions to combat such problems and make the environment green and clean to survive happily. In other words, we can say that we should go green to help nature flourish and prosper.

So here are some ways which can help us go green and increase the green cover on the earth:

We should stop using plastic: Plastic is one of the major contributors to environmental pollution so it is important that we should stop using plastic and switch to wooden based material in our homes. Also, we must use jute or paper bags instead of plastic ones to reduce our plastic footprint on nature.

Recycle and reuse: We can always recycle and reuse products to reduce waste and decrease pollution levels in the environment such as old and discarded items can be used for décor and other purposes in the homes and offices.

Save water: We should conserve water by switching off taps, using a bucket of water for bathing instead of showers. Rainwater harvesting and watershed management are some of the other ways to conserve water.

Planting and saving trees: By using reusable items instead of using toilet papers and disposable towels, printing on both sides of the page, using hand dryers instead of paper napkins, we can contribute to saving a tree. Also, we must plant some green plants and trees around our houses to increase the green cover on the land.

Conserve energy: We must save electricity and use alternative sources of energy such as solar energy, wind energy and tidal energy to reduce the usage of non-renewable sources that take a lot of time to regenerate.

Thus, these are some of the ways to go green and make our earth look more green and clean. If the government and people should come together and take the above steps, we can achieve success in making this earth a healthy and safe place to live in.

Go green, breathe clean: Indoor plants to curb pollution

Curb pollution inside your house by going green and installing some indoor plants. here’s a quick guide to the plants you can bring home..

As the blanket of smog refuses to lift in Delhi, the demand for air purifiers and masks has shot up in the city. The post-Diwali period has been especially hazardous, with record-breaking pollution levels.

Indoor plants are easy to maintain and generate more oxygen than other plants.(shutterstock)

But rather than jumping the gun and adding that purifier to your shopping bag, how about considering indoor plants? “Indoor plants are easy to maintain and generate more oxygen than other plants. It is better to keep them near windows and places where there is some breeze,” says Vikram Saini, director, Masjid Nursery.

It’s said that certain plants combined with the microorganisms in their soil destroy indoor air pollutants. Keep in mind that you use durable potters made of ceramic or fibre. Plastic ones also work for indoor plants. “Terracotta or clay pots work the best, but they leave stains on the surface. So for indoor plants, you can use plastic pots,” adds Saini.

Some people might be sceptical of using indoor plants thinking they attract bugs and other insects. “Use a spray made of lemongrass, neem or other essential oils around these plants and it will help keep the problem at bay,” says Ritu Mathur, a gardening solutions provider.

The ideal ratio of plants in your house per person should be 4:1, but even one plant per person is sufficient. Here are some plants you can install.

Dracaena comes in different variants which grow well indoors. They require clay-rich soil and need watering once every fortnight. They need to be kept in sunlight and respond to white light from tubelights as well.

Snake Plant

The scaly, hard leaves make it very effective against pollution. It can adapt to all kinds of light conditions, ambient or direct sunlight. They need to be watered once every fortnight.

A shade-loving plant as it originally grows along bogs. The plant likes water and needs to be watered once a week. They need not require breeze or sunlight, and even air-conditioned environs work for it.

Money Plant

A creeper plant that works best inside the house if potted with a moss stick. It is durable and adapts to any condition. It can even work well with ambient light, if direct sunlight is not available.

Areca Palms are easy to maintain as they need ambient light and some amount of air circulation. They need to be watered once or twice a week, depending on the size of the plant.

Clean India Green India Essay (1000 Words)

Cleanliness is next to godliness . We all seek to have a clean environment as it helps us to be healthy and sound. We all must look over this issue, and it’s our utmost duty to keep our surroundings clean and healthy.

The government has played a pivotal role in achieving the goal of a clean environment and launched 2 national programs—”Clean India and Green India”. Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off this movement by cleaning the roads.

This campaign is commonly known as Swach Bharat Abhiyan or the Clean India Movement. The Green India campaign came into action on the recommendation of the Prime Minister’s council, and it mainly focuses on climate change issues.

Meaning of Clean India Green India

We are all aware of the famous proverb that cleanliness is next to godliness. But we never followed cleanliness properly.

Various benefits are associated with keeping the environment clean and healthy. A clean environment helps to save our endangered species from going extinct. We can breathe clean air in a clean environment.

Clean India Green India should become the dream of every Indian citizen. Many Indians have started to take cleanliness seriously with the launch of the Swach Bharat Abhiyan.

People have now started cleaning their surroundings and correctly disposing of the garbage. But still, we see that many of them are not taking this agenda very seriously.

The beginning of everything requires a kick start. One of the best ways to begin this drive is by cleaning our homes first. After that, we can collaborate with our immediate neighbours and clean the surroundings of our society.

Now the governments are also interfering in this programme. It has started to subsidise the cost of raw materials for the construction of raw materials.

Some steps must be taken by us in this regard:

  • We should carry a recyclable bag when we move out of the house.
  • Do not depend on those plastic non-recyclable bags . We should not throw garbage here and there.
  • Focus on composting the kitchen waste at home, which will lower the garbage volume sent to landfills and also reduce the chance of some products becoming marine debris.

Clean India Campaign

The Clean India campaigns were launched in the year 2014 during Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary. The clean India campaign is also known as Swach Bharat Abhiyan or Swachh Bharat Mission.

The government of India initiated this campaign to eliminate all open defecation. It also aims to improve solid waste management. This programme was launched with a lot of fanfare in the capital city of Delhi.

During the launching event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that cleanliness is a virtue that should be cultivated in every individual. In this event, he moved into a colony, which is the inhabitant site of the sanitation worker, and started to broom to clean a public place.

Clean India Healthy India

India is emerging as a world superpower. We are the largest democratic country in terms of population.

A few years back, Surat, a city in Gujarat, was badly affected and struck by the plague due to the rat-infested garbage heaps. After that incident, the town woke up, and today the city is very spicy and crowded.

In our Indian culture, we emphasise more on the purity of the mind than the purity of the cleanliness of the external environment.

That’s why uncleanliness is a major problem in India. And the people of India are not much worried about the uncleanliness. This uncleanliness is visible in both rural and urban places.

In today’s economy, garbage is the real threat to the development and prosperity of a nation. This problem has increased mainly due to commercialization and industrialization .

Plastic is the only one that makes significant chunks of the waste generated, and the disposal becomes hard.

To deal with these garbage-related issues, the Clean India Campaign was launched, which aims at resolving the problems related to garbage that we face in India. The prime minister’s council also approved green India’s mission climate change .

The main agenda of this Green India campaign is to combat climate change and its negative repercussions. The goal is achieved by planting a large number of trees in the forest and the town’s neighbouring areas to increase the rate of carbon dioxide sequestration.

In this way, the maximum amount of carbon dioxide is absorbed from the atmosphere and stored in the trees. This helps in reducing the carbon footprint on the earth.

10 Lines on Clean India Green India Essay

  • Clean India Green India means cleaning every street, village, and city in India.
  • The Clean India Campaign and Green India Campaign are 2 programmes launched by the government of India to assist the cleaning.
  • Citizens of India should focus on this clean India campaign and use jute bags or paper bags instead of poly bags.
  • Clean India helps to keep India healthy and clean, and for that, a proper sewerage system is also necessary.
  • The excessive use of plastic is deteriorating India. That’s why the first step to cleaning India is saying no to plastic use.
  • The government also put forward efforts in the direction of solid waste management by sending sanitary workers with vans to every house for the collection of household garage.
  • These vans also raise awareness of wet and dry waste. Wet waste includes biodegradable waste, and it includes all the cooked and uncooked material.
  • Dry waste is non-biodegradable waste and it includes metal, leather, plastic, glasses, and rubber wire.
  • Dry waste is collected in a blue-colored dustbin while the wet or biodegradable waste is thrown into a green-colored dustbin.
  • The clean India programmes aim at raising awareness of the open defecation system.

India will flourish if all the Indians come together and participate in this waste management and cleanliness programme. The government scheme can only succeed in this clean India initiative until and unless the citizens cooperate with the government.

This mission can only become successful with our active participation. A clean and healthy environment is the first step toward prosperity and is essential for us.

A clean and healthy nation attracts tourists, which will directly provide input to the Indian economy.

We will be the first ones to benefit once this programme becomes successful. Our health will be promoted. We will all be devoid of diseases. We should take care of our nation the way we take care of our family and friends .

Lastly, a clean, India Healthy and Green India should be our prime focus area, and we must participate actively in this program.

Essay on Go Green Save Future

essay on go green to breathe clean

More and more people are thinking about the environmental issues and ecological condition of Earth nowadays. Why has this problem become so relevant? What should we do to save our future? In my opinion, people have understood that their irresponsibility causes harm to the natural environment. Our planet suffers from numerous problems, which have been caused by the results of the excessive anthropogenic activity. The entire planet suffers from pollution, global warming, deforestation, extinction of biological species, etc. These problems are extremely relevant and require rapid and intensive solutions. It is possible to defeat these problems if the entire humanity changes its approach towards nature, natural resources and the value of nature for its wellbeing. In simple words, people should go green to save Earth.

Why should we take efforts now in order to save Earth in future?

Very few people understand that it is important to change their lifestyle now in order to see the results of these changes in a few decades. Doubtless, you will not grow a big forest in a year. You can plant a small tree but it will grow to its proper height only in ten or fifteen years. To my mind, this activity resembles investment into a small firm. In a few years, the firm develops into a big company, which will provide you with the solid profit. Consequently, it is not right to say that the idea of going green is useless. When you do not see the results of your activity now, it does not mean that you will not see them in ten years.

Consider future generation

Furthermore, we must not be selfish. It is important to think about the wellbeing of our children and grandchildren. We are responsible for the natural environment and problems, which will become the burden for our children.

I know that many people do not care about the condition of Earth after their death. They say that it is the headache of our future generations. I suppose, it is the main problem. People do not care about future and they do not appreciate what they have.

This approach is caused by greediness and consumerism. People want more money and material values in order to satisfy their needs. They are ready to exhaust the world they live in. They cut down forests, kill animals, birds and fish and pollute rivers, lakes, seas and oceans. They care about their profit and nothing more. No wonder, people open new and new plants, factories and power stations, which cause harm to the natural environment but provide them with money.

It looks ridiculous when people are ready to destroy forests and pollute rivers in order to gain profit. People do not appreciate fresh air and water, though they cannot survive a minute without them. They are ready to live in the unhealthy, terribly-looking and polluted environment in order to receive more money. Finally, they will have to pay for their treatment at a hospital, because they breathe in polluted air and consume contaminated food and water.

There are a number of companies who are already into having a ‘greener’ business system. An example is Movegreen, who are using an eco-conscious approach for doing business. These specialized movers in Orange County are providing excellent services for anyone wanting to move in Southern California.

How can we save our planet from the results of our harmful activity?

To begin with, we should reduce pollution, because it the cause of numerous problems. We must not litter in the street, parks and forests. We should recycle wastes in order to save our priceless natural recourses and we should always responsibly recycle electronics and e-waste , not just dump them in the landfills.

We should use public transport more frequently, because it does not release numerous harmful gases, which cause greenhouse effect and global warming. Next, entrepreneurs should use special filters at plants, factories and power stations in order to reduce the amount of poisonous emissions into the air and water. Then, people should stop cutting down forests, because they are the lungs of Earth.

Moreover, every forest is a home for thousands of animals, birds and insects, which improve the balance of ecosystems.

In conclusion, our unwise and extensive activity causes harm to the natural environment. We lose priceless natural resources, fresh air, water, forests, animals, birds, fish, insects, etc. People should change their lifestyle rapidly in order to stop deforestation, global warming, pollution and other problems, which can destroy the life on the planet. We ought to go green in order to save the life of future generations.

  • 100 Words Essay On Clean India Green India

Clean India and Green India are national programmes aimed at improving the country. In 2014, a campaign called "Clean India" was started—Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan or the Clean India Movement were the other names for this campaign. The programme was launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi by cleaning the streets. With numerous people taking part, this campaign was the biggest one ever. Garbage poses a serious danger to a country's growth and it is also a major threat to success in the modern economy. Industrialization and commercialization have only served to aggravate this issue. Therefore, as responsible citizens of this country, it is our responsibility and duty to do everything to keep our environment clean and green.

Clean India Green India Essay

Our carbon footprint has significantly grown since the Industrial Revolution. Greenhouse gases include carbon dioxide and other exhaust gases from cars and factories. Ironically, life depends on the greenhouse effect, which is a natural occurrence. If this phenomena didn't exist, the earth would swiftly lose heat and freeze. However, if substantial amounts of these gases continue to exist, the greenhouse effect will be amplified.

This may lead to an increase in global average temperatures and the melting of the polar ice caps. As a result, both individuals and the ecosystem suffer from this. The ecology may become unbalanced and endangered animals may go extinct. It can also have negative effects on the climate, often leading to loss of life and property destruction.

It is our duty to keep our surroundings clean, especially any public areas like parks, tourist attractions and restrooms. We should refrain from dumping trash everywhere, whether on the ground or in public spaces. Dustbins should be used in their place to maintain such areas clean. The ideal method to develop this habit is to launch a cleaning campaign in our home, kitchen, living space, and community. It is imperative that we preserve the natural splendour and purity of our surroundings before it is too late.

Clean India Green India is a nationwide effort launched by the Indian government. Mahatma Gandhi, father of the nation, also had a vision for a clean India. People are what make up a nation. Therefore, it is essential to alter public perceptions of the fight against sanitation. Change ought to be implemented logically. Budgets and programmes that prioritise Panchayats and rural communities' sanitation needs should be sufficient. Every Indian citizen should have the vision of a Clean India, Green India. The mission is the ideal development movement for India since it promotes sustainable growth in the nation.

Benefits Of Clean India Green India Campaign

We are less prone to get sick if we maintain ourselves and our surroundings clean. The unclean atmosphere around us promotes diseases like malaria, dengue fever, and others. We must maintain a clean, healthy atmosphere if we want to reduce our risks of becoming ill.

Cleanliness is beneficial to the mind—stress and despair are decreased. It keeps us energised and inspired.

The campaign has lessened open defecation by building individual, group, and public restrooms.

There has been a transform from the unsanitary restrooms into flush restrooms.

A promotion of healthy sanitation habits through behavioural changes and connecting people to sanitation and public health programmes has taken place.

People are now utilising solid waste disposal, reuse, and recycling techniques.

What We Can Do

So, the following are some methods that we use to go green and go clean—

Plastic is one of the main causes of environmental degradation, so it is crucial that we stop using it and replace it with materials based on wood in our houses. To lessen the impact of plastic on the environment, we must also use jute or paper bags rather than plastic ones.

We can always recycle and reuse objects to cut down on waste and pollution in the environment. For example, worn-out and discarded items can be utilised as décor and other things in homes and workplaces.

We can help save trees by printing on both sides of the page, utilising hand dryers in place of paper towels, and using reusable goods instead of toilet paper and throwaway towels. Additionally, we need to grow trees and other plants around our homes to maximise the amount of greenery there is.

We must utilise dustbins effectively if we are to achieve cleanliness. We should dispose of our trash in dustbins rather than on the roads and streets.

Awareness-raising campaigns must be performed in order to achieve community cleanliness and greenery. We must inform the public of the advantages of cleanliness and nature.

Since the Swachh Bharat Mission was established, many Indians have given cleanliness considerable consideration. People started doing daily cleanups of their surroundings and proper rubbish disposal. Additionally, Green India addresses the issue of climate change. The government wants to minimise greenhouse gases, which are the cause of climate change and global warming, by encouraging the growth of trees. In addition, the Indian government changed its energy and economic policies to be more environmentally friendly.

Speech on Go Green

Go Green’ is a simple yet powerful call to action. It’s about making choices that are good for the planet and its future.

You play a part in this. With small changes in your daily life, you can help keep our Earth clean and healthy.

1-minute Speech on Go Green

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Green is the color of life, the color of our earth. Going green is not just a slogan. It’s a way of life. It’s about caring for our planet, our only home.

We must understand the importance of trees. Trees give us oxygen, which is essential for life. They also absorb carbon dioxide, a harmful gas. By planting more trees, we can breathe clean air and fight climate change. So, let’s promise to plant a tree every year. It’s a small step but it can make a big difference.

We should also save water. Water is precious. Many people in the world don’t have clean water to drink. By using water wisely, we can help them. Let’s turn off the tap when we brush our teeth. Let’s take shorter showers. These small changes can save a lot of water.

Recycling is another way to go green. We all use things made of plastic, paper, and metal. When we throw these things away, they pollute our land and water. But if we recycle them, we can reduce pollution. We can also save natural resources. So, let’s recycle as much as we can.

Lastly, let’s use less electricity. By turning off the lights when we don’t need them, we can save energy. We can also use solar power, which is clean and renewable. It’s good for the earth and for us.

In conclusion, going green is about making small changes in our lives. These changes can help our planet. They can make our future brighter. Let’s go green for a better world. Thank you.

2-minute Speech on Go Green

Let’s talk about the color green. Green is the color of our forests, of the leaves on trees, of the grass under our feet. What if one day, we wake up and all this green is gone? This is why today, we are talking about the very important idea of ‘Go Green’.

The first thing ‘Go Green’ means is to reduce. Reduce what? Reduce the things we use every day. Think about it. Do you really need a new toy when you have so many already? Or a new dress when your closet is full? When we buy less, we use less of the Earth’s resources. That helps keep the Earth green.

Next, ‘Go Green’ also means to reuse. Have you ever thought about using both sides of a piece of paper before throwing it away? Or using a water bottle more than once? When we reuse things, we create less trash. Less trash means less harm to our beautiful green Earth.

The third part of ‘Go Green’ is to recycle. Sometimes, we can’t reuse things. What do we do then? We recycle! When we recycle, we take old things and make them into new things. This way, we don’t need to take more from the Earth. We just use what we already have.

But ‘Go Green’ isn’t just about what we do with stuff. It’s also about how we live. We can walk or bike instead of always using cars. Cars make smoke that hurts our air. Walking or biking doesn’t. It’s good for the Earth and good for us too!

Lastly, ‘Go Green’ means to plant more trees. Trees are the Earth’s lungs. They breathe in bad air and breathe out good air. More trees mean cleaner air for us and a greener Earth.

So, what does ‘Go Green’ really mean? It means to care. To care about the Earth, about the air we breathe, the water we drink, the trees that give us shade. It means to think before we act. Do we really need this? Can we use this again? Can we recycle this? Can we walk instead of drive? Can we plant a tree?

‘Go Green’ is not hard. It’s not something only big people can do. Every one of us, even the smallest child, can help. Every little thing we do, every little change we make, helps our Earth.

So let’s all promise to ‘Go Green’. For ourselves, for the animals, for the trees, and for the Earth. Because without a green Earth, we have no home. Let’s keep our home safe, let’s keep our home green. Thank you.

Nov 19 Go Green to Breathe Clean

Go Green to Breathe Clean infographic

Go Green to Breathe Clean infographic designed by GridSpace at HypothesisGroup proposes a way to solve "sick building syndrome" by adding plants to a room.

Indoor pollutants are found in the office and at home. They can cause a wide variety of serious respiratory and central nervous system problems. What to do? Plants have the answer with natural pollutant-fighting power. Which plants work the best to remove pollutants, and which pollutants are the most dangerous? Infographic content and design by GridSpace at HypothesisGroup. Follow on Instagram @hypothesisgroup. www.hypothesisgroup.com

The infographic is portrayed in a linear and simple way. It's in an easy to read but stylized font, and doesn't use any intense colors to distract the viewer. You can follow the information down the page without getting bored or distracted.

It has an ideal amount of content. The creators chose to target only 5 common air pollutants that cause health risks, and then recommended 8 plants. Even with this amount of information they are still able to help the reader pick the ideal plant for their needs and environment. By using the circular graph, it's different and the reader can compare the similarities and differences between the plants rather quickly and easily.

It's interesting that they used LinkedIN's SlideShare as the platform to publish the original infographic and then embedded into their own blog post .
