లా రెన్స్ అనగానే వరుసగా వస్తున్న కాంచన సినిమాలే గుర్తుకొస్తాయి.  భయపెడుతూ... థ్రిల్ కి గురి చేసే ఆ సినిమాలతో ఆయన  చూపిస్తున్న ప్రభావం అలాంటిది. అయితే  దాదాపు మూడేళ్ల తర్వాత ఆయన ఆ సినిమాల నుంచి బయటకు వచ్చేలా కథ, కథనాల్ని ఎంచుకొని చేసిన సినిమానే రుద్రుడు. తెలుగు తమిళ భాషల్లో ఒకేసారి విడుదలైన ఈ సినిమా ఎలా ఉంది? లారెన్స్‌ ఏవిధంగా మెప్పించారు?

కథ ఏంటంటే: ఐటీ ఉద్యోగం చేసుకునే రుద్ర (లారెన్స్) ఓ సామాన్యుడు. తల్లిదండ్రులు అంటే ప్రాణం. అనన్య (ప్రియా భవానీ శంకర్)ని చూడగానే మనసు పారేసుకుంటాడు. ఆమెని ప్రేమించి, వివాహం చేసుకొని ఉద్యోగం కోసం విదేశాలకు వెళ్తాడు. ఇంతలో తల్లి (పూర్ణిమ భాగ్య రాజ్) చనిపోతుంది.  విదేశాల నుంచి వచ్చాక అనన్య కూడా చనిపోతుంది. దాంతో రుద్రుడి జీవితం ఒక్కసారిగా  తలకిందులవుతుంది. ఆ తరవాత తన తల్లి, భార్య చనిపోలేదని... ఎవరో చంపారని తెలుసుకుంటాడు. విశాఖలో పేరు మోసిన నేరగాడు భూమి (శరత్ కుమార్) పేరు బయటికి వస్తుంది అసలు రుద్ర కుటుంబ సభ్యులనే భూమి ఎందుకు చంపాడు.? అతనిపై రుద్ర పోరాటం ఎలా సాగింది? అనేది తెలియాలంటే సినిమా చూడాల్సిందే!

ఎలా ఉందంటే: పక్కా కమర్షియల్ సూత్రం ఆధారంగా రూపొందిన సినిమా ఇది. కొత్తదనం ఏమాత్రం లేకపోయినా.. కథ కథనం ప్రేక్షకుడి ఊహకి అందుతున్నా ... ఈ తరహా సినిమాలనీ  ఇష్టపడే ప్రేక్షకులు కూడా ఉంటారు. హీరోయిజం, ఫైట్స్, డాన్సులు తదితర మాస్ అంశాలే ఈ తరహా సినిమాల బలం. వాటిని నమ్ముకునే చేసిన సినిమా ఇది. రుద్ర.. భూమి గ్యాంగ్ మధ్య పోరాటంతో ఈ సినిమా  మొదలవుతుంది. ప్రథమార్థం అంతా కూడా భూమి గ్యాంగ్ సభ్యులని రుద్ర చంపడం... చంపిన ఆ రుద్రని కనిపెట్టి అంతం చేసేందుకు భూమి గ్యాంగ్ ప్రయత్నించడం వంటి సన్నివేశాలతో సాగుతుంది.  అంతే తప్ప కథ అంటూ సాగదు. చాలా సన్నివేశాలు రొటీన్ గా అనిపిస్తాయి. ద్వితీయార్థం లోనే అసలు కథంతా. రుద్ర ఫ్లాష్ బ్యాక్ సన్నివేశాలే ఈ సినిమాకి బలం. విదేశాలకు వెళ్లిన వ్యక్తుల్ని విలన్ టార్గెట్ చేయడం అనే అంశం కొత్తగా ఉంటుంది. దానికి తోడు భావోద్వేగాలు కథపై ప్రభావం చూపిస్తాయి. పతాక సన్నివేశాలు కూడా హత్తుకుంటాయి. యాక్షన్ ప్రియులకు నచ్చేలా పోరాట సన్నివేశాలని డిజైన్ చేయడం బాగుంది. అఖండ యాక్షన్ తరహాలో ఈ సినిమాలో పోరాట ఘట్టాలు ఉంటాయి. ఇక లారెన్స్ మార్క్ డాన్సులు ఉండనే ఉన్నాయి. కొత్త కథ కథనాల్ని ఆశించకుండా ఓ మాస్ సినిమాని ఆస్వాదించాలనుకునే ప్రేక్షకులకు ఈ సినిమా తృప్తిని ఇవ్వచ్చు.

ఎవరెలా చేశారంటే: రాఘవలారెన్స్ వన్ మేన్ షో ఈ సినిమా. భూమి పాత్రలో శరత్ కుమార్ శక్తివంతంగా కనిపించినా, ఎక్కువ భాగంలో లారెన్స్ సందడే. ఐటీ ఉద్యోగిగా కనిపించినా... ఆ పాత్ర నుంచి బయటకు వచ్చి మరీ మాస్ సందడితో తనదైన ప్రభావం చూపించారు లారెన్స్. పోరాట ఘట్టాలు మరో స్థాయిలో ఉంటాయి. ఆయనపై అఖండ ఎంత బలమైన ప్రభావం చూపించిందో ఈ సినిమా చాటింది. అక్కడక్కడ లారెన్స్ చేసిన హంగామా ఆయన కాంచన పాత్రల నుంచి ఇంకా బయటికి రాలేదని స్పష్టం చేస్తుంది.  కథానాయిక ప్రియ భవాని  శంకర్ పాత్ర పరిధి తక్కువే. ఉన్నంతలో పద్ధతి అయిన పాత్రలో మెరిసింది.  తల్లిదండ్రులుగా నాజర్, పూర్ణిమ భాగ్యరాజ్ నటించి భావోద్వేగాలని పండించే బాధ్యతను సమర్థవంతంగా నిర్వర్తించారు. శరత్ కుమార్ పాత్ర బాగుంది. దానిపై ఆయన బలమైన ప్రభావమే చూపించారు. సాంకేతికంగా సినిమా ఉన్నతంగా ఉంది. జీవి ప్రకాష్ కుమార్ పాటలకంటే నేపథ్య సంగీతం బాగుంది. కెమెరా పనితనం ఆకట్టుకుంది. దర్శకుడు కతిరేశన్ అటు కథలో కానీ ఇటు కథనంలో కానీ కొత్తదనం చూపించలేదు. నిర్మాణం బాగుంది.

రాఘవా లారెన్స్ 'రుద్రుడు' రివ్యూ

రాఘవా లారెన్స్ (Raghava Lawrence) కొంత విరామం తర్వాత హీరోగా నటించిన సినిమా 'రుద్రుడు' (Rudhrudu Movie). ప్రచార చిత్రాలు చూస్తే పక్కా మాస్ కమర్షియల్ తమిళ సినిమా అని తెలుస్తూ ఉంది.

డాన్స్ మాస్టర్ గా కెరీర్ మొదలుపెట్టిన లారెన్స్ కు మాస్ హీరోగా నిలబడాలని ఎప్పటినుంచో కోరిక. ఇండియన్ ఫిలిం ఇండస్ట్రీలో టాప్ కొరియోగ్రాఫర్స్  లో ఒకడిగా నిలిచినా ఆ కోరిక మాత్రం తీరలేదు. అంతేకాదు డాన్స్ మాస్టర్ గానే కాకుండా, డైరెక్టర్ గా అనేక సూపర్ హిట్ సినిమాలు తీసి తన సత్తా ఏంటో బాక్స్ ఆఫీస్ కి చూపించాడు.   అయితే ఈ మధ్యన కాస్త గ్యాప్ తీసుకుని... కేవలం యాక్టర్ గానే ఆడియన్స్ ముందుకు వస్తున్నాడు. ఈ క్రమంలోనే రుద్రుడు (Rudrudu) అనే సినిమాలో హీరోగా నటించాడు. యాక్షన్ థ్రిల్లర్ మూవీగా తెరకెక్కిన ఈ మూవీ ఎలా ఉంది...చిత్రం కథేంటి,లారెన్స్ ని పూర్తి మాస్ హీరోగా నిలబెట్టే చిత్రమేనా వంటి విషయాలు చూద్దాం.

స్టోరీ లైన్:

తన తండ్రి లా బిజినెస్ లోకి రావటం ఇష్టపడని రుద్ర (లారెన్స్‌)  సాఫ్ట్‌వేర్‌ ఉద్యోగంలో చేరతాడు. అక్కడ పరిచయమైన అనన్య (ప్రియాభవాని శంకర్‌)ను పెళ్లి చేసుకుంటాడు.  తన తండ్రి చనిపోవటం, అప్పులు ఉండటంతో వేరే దారి లేని స్థితిలో తన కంపెనీ ద్వారా అమెరికా వెళతాడు రుద్ర. అక్కడ నుంచి డబ్బులు పంపిస్తుంటాడు. భార్య, తల్లి ఇండియాలోనే వుంటారు. ఓసారి తన భార్య అమెరికా వస్తుంది. తల్లిని ఒంటరిగా వదిలి వచ్చావేమిటి అని అడిగి రెండు రోజులు తర్వాత తిరిగి అనన్యను ఇండియా పంపిస్తాడు రుద్ర. ఇక ఆ తర్వాత అనన్య కనిపించకుండా పోతుంది. తల్లి చనిపోతుంది. ఇలా ఎందుకు జరిగిందో తెలుసుకోవడానికి ఇండియా వచ్చిన రుద్రకు షాకింగ్‌ నిజాలు తెలుస్తాయి. 

దాంతో రుద్ర...  విశాఖలో ఎదురులేని  క్రిమినల్  భూమి (శరత్ కుమార్) ఎటాక్ స్టార్ట్ చేస్తాడు.   అటువంటి భూమి మనుషులను రుద్ర చంపేస్తాడు. ఓ పెద్ద కంపెనీలో ఉద్యోగం చేస్తున్న రుద్ర...ఎందుకు హంతకుడు అయ్యాడు?  తను ప్రేమించి పెళ్లి చేసుకున్న అనన్య (ప్రియా భవానీ శంకర్) ఏమైంది? రుద్ర జీవితంలో ఏం జరిగింది? రుద్రుడిగా మారి ఎందుకు రక్త చరిత్ర రాశాడు?  రుద్ర, భూమికి సంబంధం ఏమిటి? అనేది సినిమా చూసి తెలుసుకోవాలి. 

కథా, కథన విశ్లేషణ

నిజానికి ఇందులో ఓ కొత్త పాయింట్ ఉంది. ఎన్నారైల తల్లి,తండ్రులు చాలా మంది ఇక్కడ ఒంటిరిగా ఉంటున్నారు. వారిని చంపేసి లేదా భయపెట్టి ఇక్కడ వారి ఆస్దులును కొంతమంది సంఘ విద్రోహ శక్తులు రాయించుకుంటున్నాయి. ఆక్రమిస్తున్నాయి. ఈ పాయింట్ తీసుకుని కథ చేసారు. కానీ కేవలం ఈ పాయింట్ వరకే కొత్త గా ఉంటుంది. మిగతాదంతా  పరమ రొటీన్ స్టోరీ లైనే. ఓ విలన్ ..హీరో కుటుంబానికి హాని తలపెట్టాడు. దాంతో హీరో రెచ్చిపోయి విలన్ అంతం చూస్తూంటాడు. ఇలాంటివి మనం బోలెడు చూసి ఉన్నాం. అయితే ఇంత రొటీన్ కథను కూడా వైవిధ్యంగా చెప్పగలిగితే బాగుండేది. అలా కాకుండా 'రుద్రుడు' మొదటి షాట్ నుంచి  శుభం కార్డు పడే వరకూ... ఒకటే పద్దతిలో వెళ్తూంటాడు. కమర్షియల్ మీటర్ చూసుకుంటూ సీన్స్ వెళ్లిపోతూంటాయి.  హీరో ఇంట్రడక్షన్, ఆ తర్వాత  హీరోయిన్ ని లైన్ లో పెట్టే ట్రాక్, మధ్యలో మధ్యలో తల్లితో ఎమోషనల్ సీన్స్,  విలన్ ఇంట్రడక్షన్...హీరో కుటుంబాన్ని వేసేయటం..అక్కడ నుంచి హీరో అపర రుద్రుడై పగ తీర్చుకోవటం.. లారెన్సే స్వయంగా ఇలాంటి కథలు చేసాడు. పోనీ ఎంత రొటీన్ కథ అనుకున్నా విలన్ పాత్ర స్ట్రాంగ్ గా ఉండి ..ఎమోషన్స్ రైజ్ చేయగలిగితే బాగుండేది. అలాంటిదేమీ జరగదు. పొరపాటున కూడా  ఎక్కడ కొత్తదనం లేకుండా జాగ్రత్త పడ్డారు. అన్నిటికన్నా ముఖ్యంగా అసలు ఇలాంటి సినిమాలు ఈ మద్యకాలంలో ఎవరూ చేయటం లేదు. దాంతో సినిమా మధ్యలో మనం వేరే ఆలోచనలోకి వెళ్లి కొన్ని సీన్స్ మిస్సైనా... కన్ఫూజ్ అయ్యేదేమీ అనిపించదు. ముఖ్యంగా సినిమాలో ట్విస్ట్ లు అన్నీ మాగ్జిమం సగటు సిని ప్రేక్షకుడు ఊహించేస్తాడు. కొత్తలేని ఈ కథకు కొత్తగా స్క్రీప్లే రాసేదేముంది అనుకున్నారేమో పూర్తిగా వదిలేసారు. లాజిక్ అనే మాటను ఈ సినిమాలో వెతక్కూడదని ఫిక్స్ అయ్యినట్లున్నారు.  

టెక్నికల్ గా...

ఈ సినిమాలో డైరక్టర్ కన్నా ఎక్కువ కష్టపడింది ఫైట్స్ కొరియోగ్రాఫర్. వరస పెట్టి ఫైట్స్ చేసుకుంటూ వెళ్లిపోవటమే అన్నట్లు సీన్స్ వచ్చి పోతూంటాయి. మనకు అలవాటైన ఓ స్టార్ హీరోనే అలా అర్దం పర్దం లేకుండా ఫైట్స్ చేస్తే బోర్ అంటాం. అలాంటిది మాస్ హీరో ఇమేజ్ లేని లారెన్స్ చేస్తూంటే కాస్త ఇబ్బందిగానే ఉంటుంది. దానికి తోడు ఈ ఫైట్స్ కు  తగ్గేదేలే అన్నట్లు  జీవీ ప్రకాష్ కుమార్ నేపథ్య సంగీతం.అలాగే పాటలు బాగున్నాయి. లారెన్స్ డాన్స్ మాస్టర్ కావటంలో పాటల్లో మంచి గ్రేస్ కనపడింది. అలాగే  ప్రొడ్యూసరే డైరక్టర్ కావటంతో బాగానే ఖర్చు పెట్టారు. విలన్ హీరోల మధ్య  సీన్స్  రక్తికట్టలేదు. లవ్ ట్రాక్ అంతంత మాత్రమే.  కెమెరా వర్క్, ఎడిటింగ్ ...బాగున్నా..వాటికి ఇలాంటి సినిమాలతో ప్రత్యేకమైన గుర్తింపు ఏమి రాదు. డైరక్షన్ గురించి ఏం చెప్పుకుంటాం. 

నటీనటుల్లో ...

లారెన్స్ కు ఒక స్టయిల్ వుంది. ముని, కాంచన సీరిస్ లలో వచ్చిన  కథలు ఆ స్టయిల్ వర్క్ అవుట్ అవుతుంది కానీ ఇలాంటి కథలకు అస్సలు నప్పదు. అతని బాడీ లాంగ్వేజ్ ఇలాంటి మాస్ సీన్స్ కు అతకక అతిగా ఉంది.   హీరోయిన్ ప్రియాభవాని శంకర్‌అందంగా వుంది కానీ ఆమెకి పెద్దగా సీన్స్ లేవు.   తండ్రి పాత్ర లో నాజర్, తల్లిగా పూర్ణిమ ఆకట్టుకుంటాడు. శరత్ కుమార్  విలన్ చేశారు కానీ క్యారక్టర్ లో డైలాగులు తప్ప స్టఫ్ లేదు.  మిగతానటులు అంతా పరిథి మేర కనిపించారు.

Rudrudu Movie Story in Telugu:కథా మరియు వివరణ:

ఒక మామూలు ఉద్యోగం చేసుకునే రుద్రుడు (లారెన్స్) తనకి నచ్చిన అమ్మాయి అనన్య ( ప్రియా భవానీ శంకర్) ని వివాహం చేసుకొని కుటుంబంతో సంతోషంగా జీవిస్తూ ఉంటాడు. అయితే అంతా బాగానే ఉంది అని అనుకునే సమయంలో రుద్రుడి జీవితంలోకి విలన్ ( శరత్ కుమార్) ఎంట్రీ ఇస్తాడు. తాను ఎంతగానో ప్రేమించి పెళ్లి చేసుకున్న అనన్యని చం*. దీంతో రుద్రుడి జీవితం తలకిందులవుతుంది. అయితే తన భార్యని చంపింది ఎవరు..? వాళ్లు అనన్య ని ఎందుకు చంపారు..? వారిని రుద్రుడు ఎలా కనిపెట్టాడు..? దీని వెనక ఎవరున్నారనేది తెలియాలంటే సినిమా చూడాల్సిందే.

ఇక ఈ సినిమాలో ఎంటర్టైన్మెంట్, యాక్షన్, డ్రామా, రొమాన్స్.. ఇలా అన్నీ ఉన్నాయి. ఇక మరోసారి తనదైన నటనతో ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు రాఘవ లారెన్స్. అతని డాన్స్ ఎప్పటిలాగానే సూపర్ గా ఉంది. ఇక ఈ సినిమాకి జీవీ ప్రకాష్ కుమార్ బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ ప్లస్ పాయింట్. అయితే సినిమా కథ పాతదే అయినప్పటికీ హీరో ఎలివేషన్స్, లవ్ ట్రాక్, పతాక సన్నివేశాలు కొన్ని వర్గాల ప్రేక్షకులకు నచ్చే విధంగా ఉన్నాయి. ఇక ప్రియా భవాని శంకర్ పరవాలేదనిపించింది. సినిమాలో బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ బాగానే ఉన్నప్పటికీ.. పాటలు ఆకట్టుకోలేకపోయాయి. ఆర్.డి చాయ గ్రహణం పరవాలేదు. మొత్తం మీద రుద్రుడు ఒక అవుట్ డేటెడ్ కమర్షియల్ చిత్రం.

రాఘవ లారెన్స్ సినిమా అంటే మాస్ కమర్షియల్ ఎలిమెంట్స్ తో నిండిపోయి ఉంటుంది అనే విషయం తెలిసిందే.కాంచన సిరీస్ తో హీరో గా దర్శకుడిగా లారెన్స్ ఎంత గొప్పగా రాణించాడో మన అందరికీ తెలిసిందే.ఈ సిరీస్ అటు తమిళం లోను ఇటు తెలుగు లోను సూపర్ హిట్స్ అయ్యాయి.అప్పటి నుండి లారెన్స్ సినిమాలకు తెలుగు లో మంచి గిరాకీ ఉండడం ప్రారంభం అయ్యింది.ఆయన కూడా తనకి ఉన్న మార్కెట్ కి తగ్గట్టుగానే మాస్ కమర్షియల్ సినిమాలను చేస్తూ ఉంటాడు.అందుకే ఆయనకీ కనీస స్థాయి ఓపెనింగ్ అయినా వస్తూ ఉంటుంది.రీసెంట్ గా ఆయన హీరో గా నటించిన ‘రుద్రుడు’ అనే చిత్రం ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చింది.ఈ సినిమా ఎలా ఉంది..? లారెన్స్ ప్రేక్షకులను అలరించాడా..?, మరోసారి హిట్టు కొట్టాడా అనేది ఇప్పుడు ఈ రివ్యూ లో చూడబోతున్నాము.

రుద్ర(లారెన్స్) అనే యువకుడు ఒక ప్రముఖ సాఫ్ట్ వేర్ కంపెనీ లో ఉద్యోగం చేసుకునే సాధారణమైన వ్యక్తి.అతనికి తన తల్లితండ్రులంటే ప్రాణం, వాళ్ళకోసం ఏమైనా చేస్తాడు.అలా సాగిపోతున్న అతని జీవితం లోకి అనన్య (ప్రియా భావాన్ని శంకర్) అనే అమ్మాయి వస్తుంది.ఈమెని చూడగానే రుద్ర మనసు పారేసుకుంటాడు, ఆ తర్వాత ఆమెని వివాహం చేసుకొని,ఉద్యోగం కోసం విదేశాలకు పయనం అవుతాడు.ఇంతలోపే రుద్ర తల్లి (పూర్ణిమ భాగ్యరాజ్) చనిపోతుంది.రుద్ర విదేశాల నుండి తిరిగిరాగానే అనన్య కూడా చనిపోతుంది.ఆ తర్వాత కొద్దీ రోజులకు తన తల్లి మరియు భార్య సహజంగా చనిపోలేదని.విశాఖపట్నం లో బాగా పేరు మోసిన రౌడీ షీటర్ భూమి (శరత్ కుమార్) చేత చంపబడ్డాడని తెలుసుకుంటాడు.అసలు రుద్ర కుటుంబం తో భూమి ఉన్న సమస్యలు ఏమిటి..?, ఎందుకు వాళ్ళని చంపాడు..?, రుద్ర భూమి పై చివరికి ఎలా పగ తీర్చుకున్నాడు అనేదే స్టోరీ.

కథ విషయం లో కొత్తదనం ఏమి లేదు, మన చిన్నప్పటి నుండి చూస్తున్న రొటీన్ కమర్షియల్ సినిమానే,కానీ సెకండ్ హాఫ్ లో వచ్చే రుద్ర ఫ్లాష్ బ్యాక్ సినిమాకి ఆయువుపట్టులాగ నిల్చింది.కథ మొత్తం మనకి ముందే అర్థం అయిపోతుంది, తర్వాత ఏమి జరగబోతుంది అనే సంగతి కూడా తెలిసిపోతుంది.కానీ సినిమాని చివరి వరకు ఆసక్తికరంగా చూస్తాము, అదే ఈ సినిమాలో ఉన్న మ్యాజిక్.పోరాట సన్నివేశాల గురించి ప్రత్యేకించి మాట్లాడుకోవాలి.అఖండ చిత్రం లో మనం ఎలాంటి ఊర మాస్ ఫైట్ సన్నివేశాలను చూసామో, అంతకు మించిన మాస్ సన్నివేశాలను ఈ సినిమాలో చూడవచ్చు.ముఖ్యంగా చివరి 30 నిముషాలు ఆడియన్స్ చేత ఈలలు కొట్టించేలా చేసింది.మొత్తానికి ఒక ఊర మాస్ సినిమాని అందించాడు డైరెక్టర్ కత్తిరేషన్.కామెరికాల్ గా కూడా ఈ సినిమా వర్కౌట్ అయ్యే అవకాశాలు ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నాయి.

ఇక నటీనటుల విషయానికి వస్తే రాఘవ లారెన్స్ గురించి ప్రత్యేకించి చెప్పనక్కర్లేదు, ఇలాంటి కమర్షియల్ సినిమాల్లో అద్భుతంగా నటించి ప్రేక్షకుల చేత ఈలలు వేయించుకోవడం ఆయనకీ కొట్టిన పిండి లాంటిది.ఇక ఈ సినిమాలో విలన్ గా నటించిన శరత్ కుమార్ పాత్ర పవర్ ఫుల్ గానే ఉన్నప్పటికీ , లారెన్స్ మాస్ ముందు తేలిపోయాడు.ఇక హీరోయిన్ గా నటించిన ప్రియా భవాని శంకర్ పాత్ర నిడివి తెరపైన కనిపించేది తక్కువే అయినా, ఉన్నంతలో చక్కగా నటించింది.ఇక లారెన్స్ కి తల్లితండ్రులుగా నాజర్ మరియు పూర్ణిమ భాగ్యరాజ్ తమ ఎమోషనల్ నటనతో సీన్స్ ని రక్తి కట్టించేందుకు ప్రయత్నం చేసారు.ఇక జీవీ ప్రకాష్ కుమార్ ఈ సినిమాకి అందించిన పాటలకంటే,బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ మ్యూజిక్ మరియు రీ రికార్డింగ్ బాగుంది.

చివరి మాట : మాస్ కమర్షియల్ సినిమాలను నచ్చే వారికి ఈ చిత్రం ఈ వీకెండ్ కి మంచి ఛాయస్,థియేటర్స్ లో చూసి ఎంజాయ్ చెయ్యండి .

Rudrudu Movie Review: ప్రముఖ కొరియోగ్రాఫర్, యాక్టర్, డైరెక్టర్ రాఘవేంద్ర లారెన్స్ సినిమా విడుదలై చూస్తుండగానే మూడేళ్లు గడిచిపోయింది. తాజాగా ప్రొడ్యూసర్ కమ్ డైరెక్టర్ కతిరేశన్ రూపొందించిన ‘రుద్రుడు’తో లారెన్స్ మరోసారి తెలుగువారి ముందుకు ఏప్రిల్ 14న వచ్చాడు. లారెన్స్ మార్క్ మాస్ యాక్షన్, సెంటిమెంట్ డ్రామాతో రూపుదిద్దుకున్న ‘రుద్రుడు’ మూవీని తెలుగులో ‘ఠాగూర్’ మధు విడుదల చేశారు. మరి ఈ సినిమా ఎలా ఉందో చూద్దాం.

రుద్ర (లారెన్స్)ది హ్యాపీ ఫ్యామిలీ. తండ్రి దేవరాజ్ (నాజర్) ట్రావెలింగ్ బిజినెస్ లో ఉంటే, తల్లి ఇంద్రాణి (పూర్ణిమా జయరాం) హౌస్ వైఫ్. సాఫ్ట్ వేర్ ఇంజనీర్ అయిన రుద్ర ఇంటర్వూకు వెళ్ళే ముందు సర్టిఫికెట్స్ పోగొట్టుకుంటే… వాటిని అతనికి అనన్య (ప్రియ భవానీ శంకర్) అనే అమ్మాయి తెచ్చి ఇస్తుంది. ఆమెలోని హెల్పింగ్ నేచర్ చూసి రుద్ర ప్రేమలో పడిపోతాడు. పెద్దల అంగీకారంతో పెళ్ళీ జరిగిపోతుంది. ఇంతలో అనుకోకుండా రుద్ర కుటుంబం ఆర్థిక సంక్షోభానికి గురి కావడంతో దాన్ని ఎదుర్కోటానికి రుద్ర ఇష్టం లేకపోయినా… ఉద్యోగరీత్యా లండన్ కు ప్రయాణమౌతాడు. అప్పుల బారి నుండి ఫ్యామిలీ బయట పడుతోందని భావిస్తున్న సమయంలో ఊహించని దుర్ఘటనలు చోటు చేసుకుంటాయి. అతను ఎంతగానో ప్రేమించే తల్లి, భార్య హత్యకు గురౌతారు. సాధారణ జీవితాన్ని గడిపే సాఫ్ట్ వేర్ ఇంజనీర్ రుద్ర… తనకు జరిగిన అన్యాయానికి ఎలా ప్రతీకారం తీర్చుకున్నాడు? అందులో భూమి (శరత్ కుమార్) పాత్ర ఏమిటీ? అనేదే ‘రుద్రుడు’ అసలు కథ.

వాస్తవంగా ఇది పరమ రొటీన్ రివేంజ్ డ్రామా. అంతే రొటీన్ గా డైరెక్టర్ కతిరేశన్ తెరకెక్కించాడు. అక్రమార్జనకు అలవాటు పడిన వ్యక్తులు సమాజాన్ని ఏ రకంగా దోచుకుంటున్నారో మనం చూస్తూనే ఉన్నాం. వారికి అడ్డు వచ్చిన వారిని అతి దారుణంగా హత్య చేయడం కూడా ఇవాళ సర్వ సాధారణమైపోయింది. అయితే… అలాంటి వారి దృష్టి ఎన్. ఆర్. ఐ. కుర్రాళ్ళ తల్లిదండ్రులు మీద పడితే పరిస్థితి ఏమిటీ అనేదే ఇందులోని ప్రధానాంశం. ఉద్యోగరీత్యా విదేశాలకు వెళ్ళిన కుర్రాళ్ళు అక్కడి విలాసాలకు అలవాటు పడి ఇక్కడ అయినవారిని పట్టించుకోక పోతే… అసాంఘీక శక్తులు వారి ఆస్తి మీద కన్నేసి దాన్ని పొందడం కోసం ఎంతకైనా తెగిస్తే… జరిగే పరిణామాలు ఏమిటనేది ఇందులో చూపించారు. ఇది కాస్తంత ఆలోచించాల్సిన అంశమే అయినా చాలా ఆలస్యంగా తెర మీదకు తీసుకొచ్చాడు. అప్పటికే చూసిన నాన్ స్టాప్ యాక్షన్ సీన్స్ తో ప్రేక్షకుడి బుర్ర హీటెక్కి పోతుంది. చివరిలో డైరెక్టర్ తల్లిదండ్రులను బాగా చూసుకోవాలని, వారిని వృద్ధాశ్రమాలలో చేర్చడం సరైనదని కాదని చెప్పినా… ఆ సందేశాన్ని ఆకళింపు చేసుకునే స్థితిలో ప్రేక్షకుడు ఉండడు. బేసికల్ గా లారెన్స్ పలు సేవా కార్యక్రమాలను చేస్తుంటాడు కాబట్టి… అతని పాత్రతోనే క్లయిమాక్స్ లో వాటి ఆవశ్యకతను నొక్కి చెప్పించారు.

లారెన్స్ కు ఇలాంటి పాత్రలు చేయడం కొట్టిన పిండి. అయితే ఏ కోశానా అతనో సాఫ్ట్ వేర్ ఇంజనీర్ అనే భావన మనకు కలగదు. సినిమా ప్రారంభం నుండి ముగింపు వరకూ ప్రతీకార జ్వాలతో రగిలిపోతూనే ఉంటాడు. పాటల కోసం సిట్యుయేషన్స్ ను బలవంతంగా క్రియేట్ చేయడంతో అవన్నీ మొక్కుబడి వ్యవహారంగా మారిపోయాయి. వాటికి లారెన్స్ వేసిన స్టెప్పులు సైతం పరమ రొటీన్ గా ఉన్నాయి. హోమ్లీ క్యారెక్టర్స్ తో నెట్టుకొస్తున్న ప్రియ భవానీ శంకర్ ఇందులో అనన్య పాత్రను బాగానే చేసింది. కానీ ఆమెకు స్క్రీన్ స్పేస్ చాలా తక్కువ ఉంది. ఇక హీరో తల్లిదండ్రుల పాత్రలను నాజర్, పూర్ణిమా భాగ్యరాజా చేశారు. నాజర్ కు డబ్బింగ్ సెట్ కాలేదు. ఇన్నేళ్ళుగా ఆయన వాయిస్ ను వేరేగా విని… ఇప్పుడు ఈ వాయిస్ తో నాజర్ ను చూస్తుంటే ఎలానో అనిపించింది. శరత్ కుమార్ ఈ వయసులోనూ యాక్షన్ సీన్స్ లో నటించడం గ్రేట్! భూమిగా ప్రతినాయకుడి పాత్రలో మెప్పించాడు. ఇతర ప్రధాన పాత్రలను శరత్ లోహితాస్య, జయప్రకాశ్, రెడిన్ కింగ్ స్లే, శివజీత్, అభిషేక్ వినోద్, సచు తదితరులు పోషించారు. జీవీ ప్రకాశ్ స్వర పరిచిన బాణీలేవీ గొప్పగా లేవు. ఒక్క మెలోడీ సాంగ్ తప్ప! ఇక సామ్ సి. ఎస్. తన నేపథ్య సంగీతంతో చెవుల్లో తుప్పు వదిలించేశాడు. ఆర్. రాజశేఖర్ సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ కొంతలో కొంత బెటర్. బట్… ఇలాంటి రొటీన్ మాస్, యాక్షన్, హెవీ ఫ్యామిలీ డ్రామాతో ఈ తరం ప్రేక్షకులను ఒప్పించగలనని లారెన్స్ ఎలా అనుకున్నాడో అర్థమే కాదు. ఇది చాలదన్నట్టు దీని సీక్వెల్ కూ సిద్ధం కమ్మంటూ భయపెట్టడం కొసమెరుపు!

Rudrudu : What's Behind

Raghava Lawrence known for his mass action entertainers is coming with his bilingual entertainer Rudhrudu. The film directed by Kathiresan has all the commercial elements as seen in the teasers and the trailers. The film's OTT rights have been bagged by Disney+Hotstar and the streaming will be done after the end of its theatrical run. Let us find out whether Rudhrudu made people roar with joy in theatres.

Rudrudu Story Review

Rudhrudu story is all about a youngster's love for his parents and how he takes care of his family when encountered with difficult situations and how he reacts when faced with tough challenges. Software Engineer Rudhra(Raghava Lawrence) lives happily with his parents Devraj(Nassar) and Indrani(Poornima Bhagyaraj). He falls in love with beautiful looking Dr.Ananya(Priya Bhavani Shankar) and soon gets married. But their happy life is rocked and to find out the reason behind it and how am influential goon Bhoomi(Sarath Kumar) is connected to it, watch Rudhrudu on screen. Rudrudu : Artists Review Raghava Lawrence played the role that had all the elements which highlights his mass image. Lawrence's trademark antics attracts masses and he danced with full energy. He emoted well and performed high octane stunts. But he went over the top and this is irritates movie lovers. Sarath Kumar played the role of the antagonist. He performed well and his screen presence made an impact though the role is routine and he didn't get much scope to show variations. Priya Bhavani Shankar looked cute and beautiful on screen and did full justice to her role. Nassar and Poornima Bhagyaraj played the role of parents quite well. Kaali Venkat is good in the role of the friend.

Rudrudu : Technicians Review

Rudhrudu story readied by Kathiresan is routine to the core. He tried to elevate Raghava Lawrence 's heroism among masses by including all commerical elements. In the process the story has taken a bearing. He showed the Vizag backdrop and for the entire first half, he spent only on elevating the heroism by incuding intense action sequences. Only after the first half, the real story is narrated. The second half creates little interest with an interesting twist. Though the premise increases the curiosity levels with Kathiresan concentrating on mass commerical elements, everything is lost. The climax is intense and action packed and the story ends in a predictable manner. Kathiresan highlights Raghava Lawrence showing his antics and trademark mannerisms in the first half. Most of the time, Lawrence went loud and is over the top. In the second half, after an interesting twist, the narration takes a predictable course with screenplay and direction coming up with routine colours. The editing of Anthony could have been better as there are many repetitive scenes. Rajasekhar 's Cinematography is ok and is in sync with the story. GV.Prakash Kumar,Dharan Kumar, OlRo came up with mass beats and choreography of one song is very good. Dialogues are just ok. Background score of Sam.CS elevated the scenes but most of the times it is loud. Stunt choreography is intense and appeals to masses. Production values are good.

Rudrudu Movie Rating Analysis

Altogether, Rudhrudu is a routine mass entrainer tried to touch a valid and interesting point and highlight how criminals find ways to make money targeting the innocents. But his point is washed in routine elements impacting the film's overall result. Lawrence is known for his love for mass movies and Kathiresan came up with the story suited for him. Lawrence dreamed of doing mass entertainers and roped Stunt Shiva who worked for Balakrishna's Akhanda. So stunts look similar to Balakrishna's stunts in various films. Raghava Lawrence expressed his desire to do a mass entertainer and went on record that he watched Akhanda many times. But he should realise that action sequences alone will not save the film. Had Kathiresan worked on the story and screenplay and fine tuned it accordingly , balancing it with interesting elements and twists, result would have been different. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 1 rating for Rudhrudu.

Rudhrudu is a Tamil-language action drama film directed by S.Kathiresan which is dubbed into Telugu and released as Rudhrudu. The film has Raghava Lawrence & Priya Bhavani Shankar playing the lead roles while R. Sarathkumar, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Nassar, Abhishek Vinod, Redin Kingsley, Kaali Venkat & others in supporting roles. The music is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar & Dharan Kumar and the background score is done by Sam C.S. The film is produced by S.Kathiresan under Five Star Creations LLP banner.

Rudhra (Raghava Lawrence) is a happy IT man living with his family. He loves a girl named Ananya (Priya Bhavani Shankar) and marries her. Rudhra then goes abroad with his IT work leaving his family in India. Everything goes well until the moment his life is turned upside down. He comes upon a major criminal network including a criminal businessman. What is the incident? How will Rudhra embark on a mission to expose the criminal network forms the rest of the plot.

What about on-screen performances?

Raghava Lawrence does an impressive job in his role as Rudhra. He is good in all the emotional scenes and is superb in all action scenes. Apart from his acting, he dances like a dream in all the songs, especially in the ‘Praanaana Paatale Paaduthundi’ song.

Priya Bhavani Shankar looks cute and does a decent job as Dr.Ananya. She fits her role perfectly and is impressive in all the emotional scenes as well.

R.Sarathkumar makes his presence felt in his negative shaded role. He is particularly good in the flashback portions. But the role is a cliched commercial cinema villain, that didn’t gives him enough meat to shine.

Poornima Bhagyaraj does a neat job as the hero’s mother. The mother sentiment works well in the film.

Nassar is okay as the hero’s father while Abhishek Vinod, Sachu, Shivajith, Redin Kingsley, Kaali Venkat, Shyam Prasad & others are fine in their respective supporting roles.

What about off-screen talents?

The story by KP. Thirumaaran is a routine revenge drama. Apart from the core crime that happens in the second half, nothing seems that interesting.

The screenplay too follows a template style format with cliched scenes that offer no novelty. The love track and the family scenes in the first half should have been well-written.

Director S. Kathiresan does an okayish job with his presentation. The way he handled the first half is very boring but he connected the emotions very well in the second half. Had he taken a bit more care on the writing part, the film would have been a lot better.

The Telugu dubbed songs by G.V. Prakash Kumar & Dharan Kumar are very poor and irritating at a point. Only the ‘Praanaana Paatale Paaduthundi’ song and the Mother song work to an extent.

The background score by Sam C. S. lifts all the elevation scenes to a decent level.

The camera work by R. D. Rajasekhar is neat while the edit by Anthony is middling. The production values are okay.

Raghava Lawrence’s Rudrudu Telugu trailer is commercially packed

Rudrudu is going to be released on April 14, 2023 and the makers of 'Rudrudu' released the official trailer for the film in Telugu and Tamil languages

Hyderabad: Raghava Lawrence impressed the Telugu audience as an actor with the films Muni, Kanchana, and Shivalinga. The Telugu audience always encouraged and supported Lawrence. With all that love, Raghava Lawrence is now making another attempt to win the hearts of the Telugu audience with the film Rudrudu, aka Rudran in Tamil (original).

Rudrudu is going to be released on April 14, 2023. Today, the makers released the official trailer for the film in Telugu and Tamil languages. As per the trailer, Rudrudu looks commercially packed. It is a proper action thriller. Raghava Lawrence is very impressive in the role of a mass hero. R Sarathkumar , who is seen as the antagonist, is equally powerful as Lawrence in the trailer. Priya Bhavani Shankar is the female lead alongside Lawrence. The film can be a complete entertainer if the story and its execution are good.

Rudrudu is written and directed by Thirumaaran. Kathiresan produced the film under the banner of Five Star Creations LLP. Sam CS and GV Prakash Kumar composed the music for the film. RD Rajasekhar is the cinematographer, and Anthony is the editor.

Raghava Lawrence has a very good lineup next to Rudrudu. He is currently shooting for Chandramukhi 2 and Jigarthanda Double X.

Rudhrudu OTT release date: When and where to watch Raghava Lawrence, Priya Bhavani Shankar’s film

Choreographer, director, philanthropist and actor Raghava Lawrence headlined a commercial entertainer titled Rudhran recently. The film was dubbed into Telugu as Rudhrudu and released in theatres simultaneously with the original in the first half of April. Priya Bhavani Shankar played the female lead in the film which was directed and produced by Kathiresan. Sarath Kumar played the antagonist.

KP Thirumaaran wrote the story and the screenplay for the film which opened to mixed responses in theatres and had a modest run at the box office. Nearly a month after its release, both the Telugu and Tamil versions of the film are gearing up for their OTT premiere. Sun NXT acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of the action entertainer and will premiere the film on May 14, Sunday.

The story revolves around a dutiful son who goes to London to repay the huge debt availed by his father. While his wife is the only solace, he hopes to return to his home to lead a hassle-free life. Despite his intentions, destiny offers him a rude shock. He needs to come to terms with the death of a loved one owing to a criminal who eyed his property. Will he be able to teach him a lesson?

OTTplay.com 's critic while reviewing the film wrote, “Lawrence’s acts in Rudhran are no different from what he portrays in the popular Kanchana franchise. With almost zero novelty in the screenplay and dull character sketches, one finds it difficult to sit through the whole movie. A message that appears in the end is relevant, but forced and hence, makes little impact.”

GV Prakash Kumar scored the music for the film and remixed the yesteryear song Paadatha Pattellam in the album. Sam CS worked on the background score. While RD Rajasekar ISC handled the cinematography, the film was edited by Anthony. Stun Siva and Raju. P are the action director and the art director respectively. Shridhar choreographed the songs. Rudhrudu was produced under Five Star Creations.

After a decade-long anticipation, the sequel to Geethanjali, titled Geethanjali Malli Vachindi, has finally graced the screens today. Adding to the excitement, this release also commemorates actress Anjali’s 50th film. Explore the review to unveil the verdict on this highly anticipated sequel.

Ayaan (Satya) and his friend Seenu (Srinivasa Reddy), a struggling director, decide to make a movie but face numerous obstacles. When they’re on the verge of quitting, Seenu receives a call from Ooty-based businessman Vishnu (Rahul Madhav), who wants to produce a film. Vishnu owns a haunted palace called Sangeeth Mahal and insists on shooting there. Anjali (Anjali), a coffee shop owner, is chosen as the heroine. As the filming progresses, they encounter eerie moments. What secrets lie within the palace? Who is Vishnu? Why did he choose a struggling director? How is Geethanjali related to the story? Plus Points:

Comedian Satya once again captivates the audience with his impeccable comedic timing, eliciting laughter with his innocent performance and expressive reactions.

Sunil, though given minimal screen time, delivers a commendable performance in the latter half, adding to the enjoyment with his antics.

Anjali performs adequately in her role, supported by a strong ensemble, including Srinivasa Reddy, Satyam Rajesh, and Shakalaka Shankar. Ravi Shankar and Priya also shine as ghosts, contributing to the entertainment.

The comedy scenes set in the ghost palace are particularly effective, providing laughs aplenty, especially in the latter part of the film.

Minus Points:

The film’s plot is its Achilles’ heel, as its predictability and lack of originality make the proceedings too routine. A more innovative script could have injected much-needed excitement into this horror comedy.

While the comedy scenes are thriving, the character arc of the villain, portrayed by Rahul Madhav, is underdeveloped, leaving potential untapped.

Supporting actors like Ali and Srikanth Iyengar are underutilized, with their roles lacking depth. Additionally, Anjali’s character suffers from a lack of decent screen time, a surprising misstep.

The storyline involving the ghosts could have been concluded more effectively, with the climax appearing forced and lacking conviction. Despite providing entertainment, many scenes feel overly familiar and fail to leave a lasting impact.

Technical Aspects:

Director Shiva Turlapati’s efforts are commendable, but senior writer Kona Venkat’s neglect of the story and screenplay detracts from the overall impact. A greater focus on these aspects could have elevated the film’s quality.

Pravin Lakkaraju’s music adds thrills here and there, while Sujatha Siddhartha’s cinematography could have been more engaging to captivate the audience. Chota K Prasad’s editing is satisfactory, and the production values meet expectations.

On the whole, Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi offers laughs but falls short in delivering scares. Satya’s comedic prowess shines, supported by Sunil’s notable performance. While Anjali holds her own, the film’s routine plot, underdeveloped characters, and lackluster climax are its weaknesses. It’s advisable to explore alternative entertainment options.
