The Rocky speech that Rocky Balboa gives to his son in the final installment of the Rocky series is one of the most widely recognized scenes in all of the Rocky movies.

I’m going to make the assumption that you are not a professional boxer or the son of one, however, that doesn’t render this speech useless for you.

In this scene, Sylvester Stallone (who plays the title character of Rocky) captures many key principles to achieving success in life. Everyone can learn something from this Rocky speech, regardless of what area of life you could use some extra motivation.

Here’s the video (in case you’ve never seen it):

In this article, I'll talk about this video and and 5 motivational lessons that you can take away from this Rocky speech.

Table of Contents

Motivational Lessons from the Rocky Balboa Speech

1. accept personal responsibility.

When something doesn’t go exactly how it was planned or if you make a mistake, who (or what) do you blame?

Do you have the courage to make the right choice when you are faced with challenges that have resulted from your actions?

Making excuses to dispel responsibility when you make a mistake will prevent you from creating any real changes in your life. In this Rocky speech, he points out his son’s tendency to blame others when things have gotten difficult for him, suggesting that doing this is the easy way out.

Alternatively, people who accept personal responsibility are able to acknowledge the outcome of their decisions without accusing other people of any wrongdoing. Being able to do this will help you evaluate the outcomes that have come from your actions and design a plan to prevent future mistakes.

Practicing behaviors that make you accountable will strengthen your sense of personal responsibility.

Aside from just owning your mistakes, this means showing people that you are reliable when it comes to delivering on your obligations, and showing other people that they can trust you to do what you say you’ll do.

2. Be Resilient

There is one line in this speech that really encompasses resilience. This is when Rocky says, “But it ain’t about how hard you’re hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.”

The key to coping with stressful times and coming out on top is resilience. Even more than knowledge or training, having resilience in the face of hardships and unexpected changes can be the determining factor in whether you succeed or fail.

Having resilience helps you thrive, even during troubling times, and turn potentially catastrophic situations into opportunities for growth.

Resilience is developed through your personal experiences. Research has shown that overcoming stressful situations early in life can set you up to be more resilient as an adult.

Also, children who have nurturing caretakers who support their sense of confidence can also grow up to have a strong sense of resilience.

If you want to build resilience as an adult, you can change your attitude by becoming actively involved in problem-solving when issues arise, remembering that change is always an opportunity for growth, and responding to stress in an objective manner.

As long as you can change your attitude about adverse or unfavorable situations, you can demonstrate resilience.

3. Believe in Yourself

.ugb-a47fe7b .ugb-blockquote__item{background-color:#fcb900 !important;border-radius:12px !important}.ugb-a47fe7b .ugb-blockquote__item:before{background-color:#fcb900 !important}.ugb-a47fe7b .ugb-blockquote__quote{fill:#1e73be !important;width:70px !important;height:70px !important}.ugb-a47fe7b .ugb-blockquote__text{color:#1e73be} “ But until you start believing in yourself, ya ain’t gonna have a life .” – Rocky Balboa

If you don’t believe that you can do something in the first place, you won’t put forth your full effort in trying. Believing in yourself  can be a determining factor in your potential success, as it gives you the confidence that you need to endure challenges.

The one thing about believing in yourself is that you have to be the one to do it. While other people can support you in your endeavors, they cannot make you believe in yourself. Plus, you’re giving outsiders little reason to believe in you if you aren’t able to do it first.

Setting goals is an effective way to build belief in yourself because achieving the goals that you create often takes you out of your comfort zone, and once you realize you can tackle one challenge, you will move onto the next, and then the next, and so on.

If your goals seem unreachable, break them down into smaller goals that you can accomplish. The more you accomplish, the more you will believe in yourself.

Lastly, build up a sense of motivation that creates such a strong desire to achieve your goals that you won’t even question whether or not you can do it. Your determination is so strong that you just push through any doubts. As you progress, your amount of self-belief will skyrocket.

4. Stay True to Yourself

Staying authentic to yourself can be hard. It is often tempting to follow the same path that most others are leading, as it likely offers instant gratification instead of a slower and steadier rise to the top.

However, if you stay true to yourself and stick to your values and dreams, you will be able to achieve whatever “success” means to you.

Just because you see other people creating brands by following a formula, that doesn’t mean that this is the right thing for you . You have to figure out what feels right for your own process. Authenticity is challenging, but it is certainly respected.

When you spend your time trying to crack someone else’s code to success, you’re disregarding your own. You’ll never achieve your own peak of success by using all of your energy figuring out how other people got to that point. One of the main keys to success is to turn all of that focus back on yourself.

The first thing you have to do to stay true to yourself is to figure out who you really are. For example, do you hate sales, but feel like that is all you are equipped to do?

If you hate selling things, stop trying to convince your boss and your clients that you really care about whatever product (or service) you’re selling and expand your skills and abilities to land yourself a new career.

rocky balboa speech to his son analysis | rocky motivational speech mickey | rocky motto

Also, consider the person you are at work versus the person you are at home. How different are these two people? Most people relax and get comfortable at home, and then put on a front at work.

Instead, try to embrace your true self at work to be authentic. Use your personality to engage in real conversations and build connections with colleagues through honest communication.

Whatever your goals are, you need to take the time to decide if the end result is really what you want or need. Bring all of your strengths, weaknesses, successes, and failures to the table.

Not only will this help you be relatable to other people, it will help you ultimately lead a fulfilling life because you won’t be pretending to be someone whom you’re not.

5. Be Willing to Be Vulnerable

The term “vulnerability” often has a negative connotation, because to be vulnerable, you’re putting yourself at risk of experiencing some type of harm.

This may make you think of your weaknesses, mistakes you have made in the past, or a professional threat of some sort. However, embracing vulnerability is actually crucial to success.

Everyone has their own vulnerabilities and aspects of their personality that can either be helpful or hurtful. But by hiding your vulnerabilities, you’re essentially denying a huge part of your personality and putting up walls to block other people out.

When you are willing to be vulnerable, it will allow you to connect with other people on a different level, which can lead to increased productivity and collaboration.

Being vulnerable can actually be one of your greatest protections. When you let your guard down, it dissolves any opposition and resistance against you that may be coming from other people. It then becomes much less likely that these people would hurt you.

Being vulnerable requires taking a risk, but if you are never willing to be vulnerable, you will never reap the benefits that may come out of the risks you’re taking. Be willing to fail, be willing to get hurt, and be willing to get back up and continue moving forward.

Final Thoughts on the ‘Rocky Balboa' Speech

No matter what your goals are in life, these motivational lessons can help you achieve them.

Start by considering how you can apply these principles to your own life to improve your current situation. Then, think of how those changes can lead to future success.

And, as Rocky said, “if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth.”

“It ain’t about how hard you can hit …”

Considered the most inspirational speech in all the Rocky movies, Rocky Balboa’s message to his son Rocky Jr. was delivered at a side street just outside Adrian’s Restaurant (in real life, The Victor Cafe) at the corner of Dickinson and Clarion Streets.

Sylvester Stallone and Milo Ventimiglia stood just steps away from the entrance to Adrian’s Restaurant for this motivational scene. The area looks the same today as it did in 2005 during the filming of Rocky Balboa.

Script of Rocky’s entire speech to his son

You ain’t gonna believe this – but you used to fit right here. I’d hold you up to say to your mother, “This kid’s gonna be the best kid in the world. This kid’s gonna be somebody better than anybody I ever knew.” And you grew up good and wonderful and it was great just watching you every day was a privilege. Then the time come for you to be your own man, and take on the world, and you did. But somewhere along the line, you changed. You stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you you’re no good. And when things got hard, you started looking for something to blame. Like a big shadow. Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody hits is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you get hit and keep movin’ forward. How much you can take, and keep movin’ forward. That’s how winning is done! Now, if you know what you’re worth, go out and get what you’re worth – but you gotta be willing to take the hits. And not pointin’ fingers sayin’ you ain’t where you want to be because of him or her or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that. I’m always gonna love you no matter what. No matter what happens. You’re my son and you’re my blood. You’re the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, you ain’t gonna have a life.

The Better Man Project

the story of a human being unfolding

The rocky speech that changed my life, evan sanders, posted on september 12, 2014.

Rocky Balboa, Rocky Speech, Rocky American Flag

More than anything else, this Rocky speech dragged me out of a hell I couldn’t find my way out of.

The truth is, it would change the course of my life forever.

“You ain’t gonna believe this, but you used to fit right here. (He gestures to the palm of his hand). I’d hold you up to say to your mother, ‘This kid’s gonna be the best kid in the world. This kid’s gonna be somebody better than anybody I ever knew.’ And you grew up good and wonderful. It was great just watchin’ you, every day was like a privilege. Then the time come for you to be your own man and take on the world, and you did. But somewhere along the line, you changed. You stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you you’re no good. And when things got hard, you started lookin’ for something to blame, like a big shadow.

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life.  But it ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward.  That’s how winning is done!

Now if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth! But you gotta be willing to take the hits. And not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!

I’m always gonna love you no matter what. No matter what happens. You’re my son and you’re my blood. You’re the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, you ain’t gonna have a life.”

– Rocky Balboa

I remember being at my worst laying sick in bed, mentally sick, physically ill, beaten down and feeling like I had been dragged through hell, and deciding to watch Rocky Balboa , the last round Sylvester Stallone would fight in the Rocky series. I had always loved Rocky movies, but after Rocky V, I really didn’t know what to expect.

What I soon found out was that the movie would have probably the greatest impact on my life, more than any other movie, book, or piece of media I had ever seen. This post isn’t a breakdown of the movie, which you should watch by the way, but it’s about one quote…a quote that actually became my senior quote in high school, and how it changed the course of my young life.

“But it ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward.” –  Rocky Balboa

In the speech to his son, I didn’t relate as much to the literal talk between father and son, but was instead struck by something much deeper that only one other movie, Warrior,  has been able to do. I saw my weaker self, the part of myself that landed me exhausted and sick in bed fighting against my potential – the man I knew I could become and who would put on the gloves to fight for his dreams and what he believed in.

Evan Sanders painting Rocky Speech, "It ain't how hard you hit. It's abotu how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." - Rocky Balboa

Those childish words spewing blame, embarrassment, and fear sent shivers down my spine. I think we’ve all been there. We’ve all been in a place where we have surrounded to our almost innate ability to blame everyone else for what we don’t have and who we have become. If there was any characteristic that properly defined my younger high school self, it would be just that: blame.

I didn’t want to admit to myself that I was in fact responsible for my choices, my actions, and my reactions to the events that had occurred in my life. I wanted to blame my family, my friends, the weather, anything I could possibly find so my ego wouldn’t be damaged by the understanding that I had created my own worst nightmare. Fear has truly coursed its ways through my veins and paralyzed my dreams and growth.

And there stood my potential as if to say, “Kid, before all of this got to you, you were going to be something great. But look at you now, you’ve become a shadow of what you could have been…and the only way you are going to get back to creating something special is by continuing to take the hits and to get up time after time believing that you can accomplish anything you want to in life.”

Tony Robbins, one of my other heroes, tells the Rocky story in the following video, a video I hadn’t found until years later, about the original inspiration for the Rocky movies and a background on Sylvester Stallone’s life itself. It’s an interesting story, one that I can identify with in many ways, but as with most media I digest, I try to pick out something that relates to me beyond the obvious.

Stallone knew what he wanted to become and he sacrificed everything for it. I knew what I wanted to become, but wasn’t willing to make the sacrifices.

That was the truth. A harsh truth indeed, but the truth nonetheless.

My greatest fear was to relive my despair as I had to hang up my baseball cleats because of structural issues in my elbow. That fear, the fear that I would be so close to a dream and have it stripped from me, would destroy all of my attempts at achieving goals in the future for years. But most of all, that fear destroyed my belief in myself.

I had learned how to deal with the hits in life. I had found something deep inside of me that could process these things and then I found writing which allowed me to dump everything out onto fresh white sheets of paper and express myself in a way that I had never known I could before. But what I couldn’t do yet was dream, and then with ruthless determination and integrity, act on those dreams. This didn’t stop me from attempting however. After years and years of attempting something and being brought to a final breaking point, I went in one more round with those Rocky words in the back of my mind and everything clicked.

When the load is seemingly too heavy to bear, you have to go in one more round and give it everything you have. You have to pick yourself up when you’ve been knocked down and with blind faith keep moving in the direction of your chosen path. I say blind faith because anything short of completely trusting your vision  will not get you to where you want to go. Dreams are beautiful things, but they have a dirty secret. The secret is that they are going to challenge you in the worst and finest ways possible to test you to see if you are indeed worthy and ready of achieving such a thing.

That’s how I look at all those years I spent failing. I wasn’t the man who could have achieved that dream, but I was building myself into that man through failure.

Every time I failed, I tried again. Every time I failed, I searched for answers. Every time I failed, I found new ways to learn how to achieve what I wanted to achieve. This process was grueling and mentally taxing, but now, being at the finish line, I understand the value in it. But there is one thing that is truly the most important thing of all.

I believe in myself now.

I actually do, and I know that the next endeavor I embark on will have the momentum of the past achievements behind it. Whenever I hit a rut or get stuck in the mud, I can think back to all of the times I  actually overcame the barriers that my previous dream had placed before me. And I think there is a valuable distinction between the barriers that happen in life and the barriers that occur when you’re chasing your dreams.

The barriers that occur in daily life are things that happen to you. You get injured, someone leaves you, you lose your money, things like that. But the barriers that appear when you are chasing your dreams are something much more mature, tricky, and brilliantly difficult to overcome. They don’t happen to you, they happen for you. You chose the path. You chose the dream. You made the decision to go all in and with that decision you signed the dotted line that said, “I will face every obstacle and defy every fear that comes in front of me…give me your best shot.”

Forever, I will have the Rocky Balboa speech in the back of my mind when life throws its best shots at me…and forever, will be motivated to go in one more round.

Incredible post! Probably the best ever! Thanks so much for sharing. I have been a HUGE Rocky/Sly van since Rocky when I was only 10. I was a runner in high school and college and his movies and soundtracks always inspired me to do better. So cool!!!!!

' src=

Evan, I really want to THANK -YOU for sharing this…this precise quote from the movie has kept me motivated, as I am going through a very difficult time in my life and at times I feel like I am worthless…I have always been close to my father and he has always been there for me until 4 years ago when he suffered a severe stroke was induced in a come for 1 month and half, 3/4’s of the left side of his brain in completely dead, so I take care of him now…My point is he always encouraged me to be the best I could be and now that I am going through a very difficult period in my life I speak to him but he stares at me with a blank space and I miss his wisdom how he made me feel EVERYTHING would get better, but after reading this article, and surprisingly I never knew where the original Rocky originated from you and one of my FAVORITE actors Sylvester Stallone gave me inspiration and i really mean it when i say THANK YOU!!!

Hey man, I just need to say how grateful I am for this post. I am a college football athlete at the top school in D3. I’ve had a long 4 year to where I am today and last season suffered a broken collar bone. For a while I had been bogged down with hopeless emotions of this setback in chasing my dream. My ambition and drive had left me restless fearing I would loose all the hard work I’ve put in. The bone isn’t healing like it should be and that was bringing me discouragement. I looked up the “that ain’t you” quote today to buy some wall art for my room to inspire me daily and came across this post. Holy shit I needed that man. I’m going to overcome this obstacle and be back for next season. I’m going to be great. I’m not letting this stop me. I can’t thank you enough for putting this post together, you don’t know how much it means to me. Look out in the future for Christian MIller playing in the NFL, cause that’s where I’ll be in 2 years.

' src=

The quote from the movie, “Rocky Balboa”, is my favorite quote of all time. It’s saving my life one day at a time right now.

' src=

Rocky has been such a huge influence on my life. Even though it is a movie…it still has such a great factor.

P.S. Please do me a huge favor and subscribe! http://btrman.me/1uSFjaq Thank you!

Thank you for sharing this!

Thanks so much, Evan. This is exactly what I needed right now.

Your Inspiration Today: Rocky Balboa’s Speech to His Son

rocky giving speech to his son

“It ‘ain’t about how hard you’re hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward – how much you can take, and keep moving forward!”

When I heard this, it was as if stars aligned and it all suddenly made so much sense. I’ve heard similar phrases and words, but this particular set sunk in deep down. Anthony Robbins taught me that at the most random time, you can hear something that will Awaken the Giant Within.

For those of you who don’t know, I wrote a book about my life which is not released yet. I wrote about how I went from this negative, depressed teen (for very good reason) to overcoming and, most importantly, understanding what happened to me so I could move on and not let the past affect my future.

So naturally, when I saw the latest Rocky Balboa movie and heard his speech to his son, I was blown away by the wisdom. We’ve all been hit hard by life – there’s no doubt in my mind. I’ve personally known people that survived their partner committing suicide, the loss of their 8-year-old son, cancer survivors, losing millions due to a bad business deal, messy divorce, and more. Yes, a little dark for today’s post maybe, but look beyond the pain.

Each and every one of those people rose up and moved forward. They learned from those experiences. Though they will never forget the feelings those experiences brought, they still simply chose to get back up and stand up to Life.

To those of you out there that have done the same, I congratulate you. Today, reflect on those times in your life when you stood up and moved forward. Give thanks for your strength and treat yourself to a little something nice today.

Rocky Balboa Speech – 5 Life Lessons

Rocky balboa speech to his son.

The rocky balboa speech to his son is one of the most widely recognized scenes of any Rocky movie. We can all learn something from this Rocky motivational speech regardless of whether or not we are father or son. Let’s take a look at the rocky balboa speech to his son and then review what we can all take from this inspiring Rocky scene.

Rocky Balboa Speech to his son Script

“I’d hold you up to say to your mother, “this kid’s gonna be the best kid in the world. This kid’s gonna be somebody better than anybody I ever knew.” And you grew up good and wonderful. It was great just watching you, every day was like a privilege. Then the time comes for you to be your own man and take on the world, and you did. But somewhere along the line, you changed. You stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you you’re no good. And when things got hard, you started looking for something to blame, like a big shadow. Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it . You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you’re hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that! I’m always gonna love you no matter what. No matter what happens. You’re my son and you’re my blood. You’re the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, ya ain’t gonna have a life . Don’t forget to visit your mother.”

Rocky Balboa Speech to the Board

Here is another great Rocky motivational speech when he is pleading his case to the board:

Rocky Balboa Speech to the Board Script

I appreciate that, but maybe you’re looking out for your interests just a little bit more. I mean you shouldn’t be asking people to come down here and pay the freight on something they paid, it still ain’t good enough, I mean you think that’s right? I mean maybe you’re doing your job but why you gotta stop me from doing mine? Cause if you’re willing to go through all the battling you got to go through to get where you want to get, who’s got the right to stop you? I mean maybe some of you guys got something you never finished, something you really want to do, something you never said to someone, something… and you’re told no, even after you paid your dues? Who’s got the right to tell you that, who? Nobody! It’s your right to listen to your gut, it ain’t nobody’s right to say no after you earned the right to be where you want to be and do what you want to do! You know, the older I get the more things I gotta leave behind, that’s life. The only thing I’m asking you guys to leave on the table… is what’s right.

5 Life Lesson we can all learn from the Rocky Balboa Speech

  • Always be yourself , regardless of what others might think or say.
  • Never blame others, especially when the going gets tough .
  • Always remember that the world doesn’t owe you anything!
  • Perseverance is the key to winning at anything in life.
  • You have to be willing to fight for what you want out of life.

8 Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Be More Decisive

Stop Procrastinating

Tackling Procrastination and Indecisiveness

Hi, Joel Brown here. As the person behind Addicted to Success and Mind Strong, I’m often asked about tackling procrastination and making swift, effective decisions. It’s a common struggle in today’s world, where distractions are endless.

Procrastination often creeps in when we’re bombarded with social media notifications, breaking news, and the hustle of daily life. This leads to a fear-driven indecision, where we’re paralyzed by the thought of failure or judgment.

Here’s a video breakdown of how to stop procrastinating and be more decisive if you are more of a visual person:

Embracing Speed and Momentum to Stop Procrastination

One of the most impactful lessons in my journey is understanding the role of speed in overcoming procrastination. A mentor of mine, a highly successful individual, always emphasized:

“Success loves speed, and money loves momentum.”

This principle is crucial in combating procrastination. It’s about seizing opportunities quickly, not just for financial gain, but for the invaluable experiences and connections they bring.

Understanding Analysis Paralysis: A Key to Overcoming Procrastination

A major hurdle in decision-making is what’s commonly known as analysis paralysis, a significant form of procrastination. It happens when our decision-making process, governed by the prefrontal cortex, gets overwhelmed. To break free from this form of procrastination, try calming techniques like deep breathing. It’s surprising how such simple steps can clear a cluttered mind and help you move past procrastination.

The Long-Term Effects of Procrastination and Indecision

Procrastination isn’t just about putting off decisions; it can lead to a reduced sense of life satisfaction over time.

In a conversation I had with Tony Robbins , we discussed how the quality of our lives hinges on the quality of our decisions.

Therefore, overcoming procrastination and indecision is vital for a fulfilling life.

My Top Strategies for Beating Procrastination

  • Seek Guidance from the Experienced : To combat procrastination, connect with people who’ve achieved the goals you’re aiming for. Their experience can be a guiding light when you’re stuck in indecision.
  • Use Deadlines as Anti-Procrastination Tools : Setting deadlines is a powerful way to break the cycle of procrastination. They create a sense of urgency that pushes you into action.
  • Accept Imperfection to Move Past Procrastination : Understand that no one is perfect, and that includes you. Accepting this can alleviate the pressure that often leads to procrastination.

Identify Your Procrastination Type to Find Solutions

Procrastination manifests in various forms. I’ve developed a quiz (find it at mindstrongacademy.com/quiz ) to help you identify your specific type of procrastination. Understanding your personal procrastination style is a crucial step in addressing it effectively.

Additional Tips on Making Quality Decisions and Beating Procrastination

When it comes to decision-making, it’s important to not get too bogged down in analyzing pros and cons. While analysis is important, excessive scrutiny can lead to procrastination. Trusting your intuition often plays a crucial role in breaking free from procrastination.

Handling Major Life Choices Without Procrastination

For significant decisions in life, whether in your career or personal relationships, procrastination can be particularly challenging.

To address this, break down these big decisions into smaller steps. Assess the potential outcomes realistically to understand that often, the fear of a negative outcome is more intimidating than the actual consequences.

Conclusion: Your Journey Away from Procrastination Begins Now

To wrap up, remember that overcoming procrastination and indecision is about understanding your own patterns, seeking wise counsel, setting deadlines, and embracing your imperfections. It’s time to start making those impactful decisions and enjoying the journey of life.

Whether it’s through the Mind Strong Academy or my procrastination quiz , I’m here to guide you on your path to decisive action.

I believe in your ability to conquer procrastination and live a life of purposeful decisions.

Change your mindset, unlocking success: subconscious reprogramming, mindset, and transformative strategies for improved wellbeing and business performance.

' src=

What if I told you that the negative thoughts or self-limiting beliefs that you may have, are not actually yours? In this article, I will discuss subconscious programming and how it can be reprogrammed in a way that allows you to reach your greatest potential. I will also provide tips on how you can integrate this information as a leader within the workplace.

The subconscious mind is shaped before we begin forming our own conscious thoughts, and these conscious thoughts are influenced by the subconscious mind. This means that even the thoughts that you’re consciously having, are merely an extension of that pre-existing conditioning.

When something becomes deeply ingrained within your mind through repetition, and there are other supporting thoughts that reinforce it, you will identify this information as your truth. These repeated thoughts become beliefs, and your actions will align to support and validate these beliefs.

The Importance of Observing Your Thoughts

If you continuously tell yourself that you aren’t capable or good enough, how likely are you to put in the effort to challenge this narrative? If you’ve always been a procrastinator and tell yourself that you always will be, you’re going to continue procrastinating. If you run into an obstacle and don’t believe you can overcome it, you’re not going to look for solutions or try your best to resolve it.

It’s extremely important for you to become an observer of your thoughts and understand the impacts of how those thoughts can impact your life, relationships, and overall outlook on life. Here are some questions to help guide you: – What are your recurring negative thoughts, and how are they impacting your performance and relationships?

– How have these thoughts held you back from achieving your goals and living the life that you’ve always dreamed of?

– What have these thoughts already cost you and what else will they cost you if they don’t change? Societal conditioning, influenced by a lower level of collective consciousness, has made the experience of debilitating thoughts highly prevalent. It’s not your fault that you have them, but it is your responsibility to change them and choose better ones.

The Subconscious Must Be Reprogrammed

Reprogramming the subconscious involves positive affirmations, visualization, and consistent repetition to replace negative beliefs with positive ones. You have to become aware of the thoughts that make you feel bad and do not serve your best interest. What are the growth-oriented thoughts that would you rather have instead? Any time that a debilitating thought crosses your mind, always correct it with new thought that uplifts, encourages and empowers you. Be consistent, be patient and understand that your logical mind will not make this process easy for you at first.

Being Delusional vs. Consciously Creating a Better Reality for Yourself

By definition, the term delusional means “holding false beliefs or judgments about external reality that are held despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary”. When you have held onto debilitating beliefs for so long and your previous actions have served as evidence to confirm their truth, it is inevitable that your logical mind will deem your new thoughts as delusional. This is where embracing change tends to become most challenging, as it involves confronting this resistance with unwavering commitment.

What you have to understand is that your former beliefs and former actions do not dictate your future, unless they remain the same. As the old beliefs become obsolete and new beliefs take their place, there will also be new aligned actions that produce different results, and this will serve as evidence to support your new truth. That being said, the most delusional thing that anyone can do is elect to keep an unfavorable mindset that was programmed for them by external factors and willingly relinquish their own personal power as a result of it.

Success is Fundamentally Rooted in the Mindset

How we show up for ourselves and others, communicate with employees, and perform in business are deeply connected to our mindset and everything that has shaped it. Let’s delve into these interconnected aspects and explore five transformative tips that will catalyze positive change in the workplace.

A growth-oriented mindset encourages resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace challenges. On the other hand, a fixed mindset hinders progress and limits potential.

Tip 1: Embrace a Growth Mindset

  • Establish the belief that abilities can be developed.
  • View challenges as opportunities for learning and improvement.

Unpacking Trauma and Navigating the Impact

Unresolved trauma can cast a long shadow over our personal and professional lives. It shapes our reactions, influences decision-making, and impacts our interactions with others. Acknowledging and addressing trauma is essential for creating a healthier, more productive work environment.

Tip 2: Prioritize Trauma-Informed Leadership

  • Cultivate empathy and understanding for individual experiences.
  • Provide a safe space for open communication about trauma.
  • Implement support systems and resources for employees dealing with trauma.

Elevate Relationships and Sales Performance

To enhance relationships, communication, and sales performance, a holistic approach that intertwines mindset and trauma-informed practices is key.

Tip 3: Implement Empathy-Driven Communication

  • Train teams in active listening and empathetic communication.
  • Create an environment where open dialogue is encouraged.
  • Recognize and validate diverse perspectives, creating a culture of inclusivity.

Tip 4: Invest in Professional Development

  • Offer continuous learning opportunities for employees.
  • Develop leadership skills to enhance communication and relationship-building.
  • Prioritize sales training programs that align with evolving market dynamics.

Tip 5: Maintain a Positive Work Culture

  • Create a workplace where employees feel valued and appreciated.
  • Implement recognition programs to celebrate achievements.
  • Encourage a balance between professional and personal well-being.

By embracing a growth mindset, acknowledging and addressing trauma, and implementing empathetic, integrated strategies, individuals and organizations can create a transformative ripple effect. In this interconnected web of personal and professional growth, how we show up truly matters, influencing the outcomes we achieve and the impact we leave on those around us.

Enjoy the Journey

As you embark on the empowering journey of subconscious reprogramming, remember that change takes time, and self-compassion is your greatest ally. Surround yourself with positive influences, whether it be supportive friends, inspirational books, or mindfulness practices. Seek guidance from mentors who have walked a similar path and found success in reshaping their mindset. Embrace the discomfort that may arise during this process, for it signifies the shedding of old layers to make way for the new. Reflect on your progress regularly, celebrating even the smallest victories, and be patient with yourself as you navigate the intricacies of transformation.

In the spirit of rewriting your narrative, I encourage you to take the first step today. Commit to a daily practice of positive affirmations, visualize your desired reality, and consistently challenge self-limiting beliefs. If you would like support along the way, consider joining like-minded communities, Facebook groups, and curate your social media to reflect these new changes you want to embody. Remember, thoughts become actions, and actions reinforce beliefs. It’s never too late to embark on an empowering journey to reprogram your mind, and achieve the life you have always dreamed of! Setting goals is a crucial first step, whether you’re striving to reach personal or professional milestones. However, achieving those goals requires planning, determination, and focus. In this post, we’ll discuss five actionable strategies that can help you achieve your goals in 2023, and we’ll provide real-life examples to inspire and motivate you. By implementing these tips, you can train your brain to achieve your goals and make meaningful progress toward your aspirations.

1 . Write Down Your Goals

The first thing needed to achieve a goal is to have one. A goal becomes very clear and precise once you have written it down most simply and easily to remember.

Here are some examples:

  • I am the world’s best dancer!
  • I am the greatest athlete!
  • I have created the world’s most innovative tech company!

They are all written with the belief that these things have already happened. Once you start believing it has already happened, other people too can sense your confidence and things start happening.

“If you want to be happy, set a goal that commands your thoughts, liberates your energy and inspires your hopes.” — Andrew Carnegie

2 . The One Page Plan

A simple one-page plan to accompany your goal is much more powerful than a detailed 30-page plan. After you have written your clear goal – write down all the things you will have to do to achieve it . Make it as simple and direct as possible so that you can refer to it every day and take action. A simple plan is easier to follow and keep up with.

3 . Get The Right Skills

Once you have a clear goal that has been inked into your mind, and a clear plan in place, it is very important to invest in the skills you need to achieve your goal.

So for example, if you want to become a movie star, you should immediately start developing your acting skills. Observe how other actors perform, join an acting class, read about acting, and most importantly, start honing your craft by joining a local theatre group and going for as many auditions as you can. Practice is very important for mastering any skill.

Struggling To Achieve Your Goals? Here Are 9 Possible Reasons Why!

4 . Surround Yourself With The Best People

The best way to achieve our goals is to make sure we have the best people supporting us. People who succeed are always those who understand the power of people.

So let’s say your goal is to be an entrepreneur and you have developed your entrepreneurial skills, the next step would be to get the best people to join your team to help you achieve your goal . These would be people who you consider to be the best marketers capable of getting you the best customers and investors.

Once you have the best people supporting you, it becomes much easier and faster to achieve your goals.

“It takes tremendous discipline to control the influence, the power you have over other people’s lives.” – Clint Eastwood

5 . Power of Faith

Nothing beats the power of faith and belief. Sometimes you might face challenges, sometimes things might not be going your way, and you might feel like giving up – these are the times when faith and belief will keep you going.

So many people give up, just a few inches away from victory. I am sure you are not one of them since you are investing time into self-development which gives the highest returns! Now go out there and start achieving your goals!

Jerry seinfeld's graduation speech protested, pro-palestine students walk out, jerry seinfeld protest at commencement ... pro-palestine walk out.

Jerry Seinfeld 's commencement speech got off to a rocky start ... 'cause dozens of people walked out during his introduction -- with many holding Palestinian flags.

The actor-comedian -- who is Jewish and has supported Israel throughout its war against Hamas -- was set to give the commencement address at Duke University when a whole bunch of people jumped up and walked out.

student walkout at Duke university commencement as Jerry Seinfeld’s speech is announced. his introduction by university president is being drowned out by “free free Palestine” chants ❤️‍🔥🇵🇸 pic.twitter.com/oNLesaput3 — the great clown snorman (@iamschvitzing) May 12, 2024 @iamschvitzing

Check out the clip ... it's a sizable group of students who leave the address, and they're met with a mixture of cheers and jeers as they leave. So, pretty mixed reaction we'd say.

Jerry still gave his speech ... though it does not appear he addressed the moment while he spoke -- instead focusing on his pre-planned speech and cracking light hearted jokes.

JS and his wife Jessica have been outspoken advocates of Israel since the country was attacked by terrorists on October 7 of last year.

Jerry traveled to Israel last year to meet with families of hostages taken during the Oct. 7 attacks last year ... and, protesters heckled him on the streets of NYC in February -- so, he's not new to the controversy.

Of course, tensions between Israel and Palestine supporters have exploded on college campuses over the past month ... with encampments -- and riots -- springing up at prominent schools like Columbia and UCLA.

Seems Jerry found his way into the fray too ... and, it seems people can expect protests like these to continue for a while longer.

In fact, the Garfield Movie star is admittedly still learning a lot about the complex nuances between raising his 11-year-old son Jack —who he shares with ex Anna Faris —and his two daughters with wife  Katherine Schwarzenegger : Lyla , 3, and Eloise , 23 months.

"I hate to make generalizations based on gender but, in my experience, girls are more emotional," he exclusively told E! News . "They've got me wrapped around their finger. It's wild."

While all his kids are quite "cuddly and snuggly" in nature, Chris also finds that his daughters require a softer touch and "don't like to rough house as much."

"I'll hit them with a pillow and they'll go, 'Daddy, that hurt my feelings,'" he said of their playdates together. "They like to hear stories more than they like to wrestle." (For more with Chris, tune into  E! News  tonight, May 13, at 11 p.m.)

Another "big difference" between being a boy dad and a girl dad? The amount of planning involved in their day-to-day lives, with Chris noting that his two girls "take after their mother, who is incredibly organized."

"But even the differences between my two daughters," the actor added, "just goes to show that every child is a little bit different."

And being a dad has certainly changed Chris' approach to acting. For one, the 44-year-old is more drawn to voiceover work—such as playing Garfield in his upcoming movie about the iconic cartoon cat—because they are "the types of roles that allow me to be home."

"It works nicely to have a job that allows me to put my kids to bed at night and be present," he shared. "Taking a voice work means that's a movie that I don't have to be on the road."

The Garfield Movie  hits theaters May 24.

Who is Harrison Butker? Chiefs kicker gives controversial commencement speech

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is facing backlash on social media over offensive comments he made during a commencement speech at Benedictine College this past weekend.

Butker used his 20 minutes onstage May 11 at the private Catholic liberal arts school in Atchison, Kansas, to protest Pride month, transgender people, working women and how President Joe Biden handled the COVID-19 pandemic.

But who is Butker? Here are some facts to know about the controversial NFL player.

Who is Harrison Butker?

Butker, a Chiefs' placekicker, was born July 14, 1995, in Decatur, Georgia. Nicknamed "Butt Kicker" by Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, Butker was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL draft before signing with Kansas City in September of that year.

NFL STATS CENTRAL: The latest NFL scores, schedules, odds, stats and more.

How long has Harrison Butker been with the Chiefs?

Butker was released from the Panthers' practice squad Sept. 13, 2017, and signed with the Chiefs almost two weeks later on Sept. 26. He made his debut with the team during a Week 4 game Oct. 2 against Washington and made 3 of 4 field goals, with a long of 43 yards, USA TODAY reported . Butker went on to make 38 field goals, setting an NFL record for most makes by a rookie.

Butker will play in his  eighth season with the Chiefs in 2024.

What did Harrison Butker say at Benedictine College?

Butker started his 20-minute commencement speech by giving his opinion on Pride month and its "dangerous gender ideologies."

"Not the deadly sins sort of Pride that has an entire month dedicated to it," Butker said, "but the true God-centered pride that is cooperating with the holy ghost to glorify him."

Butker also criticized President Biden's policies, including his response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"While COVID might have played a large role throughout your formative years, it is not unique," Butker said. "The bad policies and poor leadership have negatively impacted major life issues. Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for the degenerate cultural values and media all stem from pervasiveness of disorder."

Lastly, Butker addressed the women in the audience, arguing their “most important title” should be “homemaker," per the Associated Press .

"I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolic lies told to you," Butker added. "Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.

Harrison Butker quoted Taylor Swift

According to People magazine , Butker quoted a lyric from Taylor Swift's song "Bejeweled" off her 2022 album "Midnights" during the commencement speech. He also referred to the Grammy-winning pop star as his "teammate's girlfriend."

"As my teammate's girlfriend says, 'familiarity breeds contempt,'" Butker said while criticizing some priests for being too close to their parishioners, per The Sporting News .

What did Harrison Butker do at the White House?

Fox News reports Butker wore an anti-abortion necktie when the Chiefs visited the White House following their Super Bowl 57 victory in 2023. The tie was designed by Live Action, an anti-abortion organization, and featured the Latin phrase "Vulnerari Praesidio," which translates to “Protect the most vulnerable."

The 28-year-old also wore a gold pin designed to look like a baby's feet.

Where did Harrison Butker go to college?

Butker went to Georgia Tech and, as a freshman, hit 10 of 14 field goals (71%). He had his best season as a senior, hitting on 15 of 17 kicks, and left Tech as the all-time leading scorer in school history.

Butker graduated in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering .

Who is Harrison Butker's wife?

Butker is married to Isabelle Butker , formerly Isabelle Tehrani, his longtime partner and high school sweetheart. The couple started dating while attending Westminster High School in Atlanta and got engaged after Butker entered the NFL.

The two wed in 2018 and now have two children: a 4-year-old son named James Augustine Butker and a daughter whose name and age remain unknown.

Who is Harrison Butker's mom?

Butker's mother is Elizabeth Keller Butker , a medical physicist who works in the department of radiation oncology at Emory University School of Medicine .

Harrison Butker stats

Since 2017, Butker has won three Super Bowl championships with the Chiefs. He holds records for the longest field goal in a Super Bowl and career field goals in the Super Bowl with nine.

He also led the league in scoring in 2019 and has made 89% of his career field goals, which is second in NFL history to Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker.

Butker had his best season in 2023, converting 33 of 35 field goals, including 24 in a row. He also hit all 38 of his extra-point attempts. During a 25-17 win against the  Cincinnati Bengals  in Week 17, Butker went a career-high 6-for-6 on field goals and was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Rihanna and ASAP Rocky

A$AP Rocky is now the proud dad of a 2-year-old. To celebrate his firstborn son RZA’s second birthday Monday (May 13), the rapper posted a carousel of adorable photos on Instagram showing off his gorgeous family, featuring Rihanna and both of their young sons.

A Timeline of A$AP Rocky & Rihanna’s Relationship

Trending on billboard.

“HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY 2 MY 1st BORN BABY BOY RZA ❤️” Rocky captioned the post.

Rocky and Ri first announced that they were expecting their first child together in January 2022 by taking a public stroll in New York City, the Fenty mogul showing off her baby bump in a half-unbuttoned shirt. Three months later, they welcomed RZA, although they didn’t publicly reveal his name until his first birthday.

By then, the “Umbrella” singer had already revealed that she was pregnant again via her 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, during which she cradled her bump onstage. She and Rocky welcomed Riot Rose that August.

This year, RZA’s birthday fell just one day after Mother’s Day, which Ri and Rocky spent together in New York City. A few days prior, the couple stepped out in Miami for the rapper’s A$AP Rocky X Puma pop-up, with the “Love on the Brain” artist rocking pink hair.

Only time will tell if the musicians expand their family in the future, although Rihanna recently told Interview magazine that she’s not ruling anything out. “I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two,” she said, adding that she wants as many kids as “God wants [her] to have.” “I would try for my girl. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky didn't stop the music after ringing in their son's second birthday over the weekend!

The A-list duo had an after-party with their adult friends and family at 161 Lafayette Bar in New York City, where they had a friendly competition. In videos shared by Rocky's sister, Erica B, it was boys vs. girls as the groups took turns having a karaoke competition.

In videos shared via Erica's Instagram Story on Monday, Rocky and a group of friends stand in front of the establishment and perform hip-hop hits by C-Murder and Chief Keef.

Erica and the ladies, including Rihanna and  Tiffany Haddish , take the next round by singing Mary J. Blige and SWV.

In another video, Rihanna seems to be supporting her boyfriend as she sits next to him while he raps Cam'Ron's "Oh Boy."

"That's my baby daddy," the singer mouths to the camera.

However, as Rocky begins to fumble over the lyrics and exclaims he doesn't remember the words, Rihanna playfully says "cut the camera."'

An eyewitness tells ET, "Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were here the other night. It was a pretty typical night, everyone had a great time singing and drinking. It was nothing but love all night."

Rihanna and Rocky's parents night out came after they were joined by family and friends on Saturday for a private birthday party for their son, RZA , hosted at Color Factory in New York City. RZA's bash featured ball pits, slides and personalized decorations including cutouts of his face and a banner that read, "RZA's 2nd Birthday."

Also in attendance was Rihanna and Rocky's 9-month-old son, Riot.

On Monday, the "Fashion Killa" rapper took to Instagram to celebrate RZA's birthday with a sweet tribute featuring a series of never-before-seen videos of his and Rihanna's sons.

"HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY 2 MY 1st BORN BABY BOY RZA ❤️" the 35-year-old captioned the carousel of images featuring him, Rihanna, 36, RZA and Riot.

A source recently told ET that Rihanna and Rocky -- who have been together since 2019 -- are enjoying family time and raising their children together.

"Rihanna and A$AP are great parents together. They have so much fun with their kids and together as a couple," the source said. "Rihanna adores being a mom and loves parenting with A$AP by her side. They have a good routine with their parenting styles and make sure both children feel loved and cared for. They also bring out the best in each other with their own unique qualities and shared passions in their own relationship. Rihanna would love to expand their family."
